What Talk is not

[edit]

Wikipedia Talk is not a place to seek friends, or chat, or treat like a forum. Messages are to be relevant to articles you are looking at or working on. Articles' Talk pages are for discussing changes to the article, but sometime it may be better to leave a message on the Talk page of an involved editor rather than at article Talk. yeah i know that this is more of a article making website and not a chat area, but it's still good to make some new friends along the way :) 422MAC224 (talk) 19:01, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
While that is true, it should not be the main thing you focus on. In fact, usually you'll end up making friends on Wikipedia just by making constructive edits. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:02, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ok thank you for telling me this. I guess I was just a bit excited because I get to do alot of cool stuff, like making all sorts of articles based on different topics. 422MAC224 (talk) 19:24, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The standard advice is put in time improving existing articles before attempting to "...making all sorts of articles..." When you are ready for that, WP:YFA is a good guide. David notMD (talk) 01:04, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
