Request reason:
I'll try to keep it brief but I've never done a block appeal before and I think it needs context? I made an edit on the page Economy of East Germany in which I changed this:
"the East German economy stood in stark contrast to the market and mixed economies of Western Europe, including West Germany"
to this:
the East German economy stood in stark contrast to the market and mixed economies of Western Europe and West Germany".
Said edit was then reverted by user Elmira Hagenes, who has themselves just been blocked for reverting constructive edits. They gave me a notice (the "vandalise again and you'll be blocked" one) on my talk page. I responded to it asking for their reasoning and was then quickly blocked for "LTA WP:BKFIP". Looking through the page, I think an admin took me for a previously-known vandal just because I asked for reasoning on the vandalism notice?
Regardless, this is only an IP that'll probably last a few days at most but given that 1. the vandalism I think I was blocked for was in fact not vandalism, and the user who reverted it was themselves a vandal and 2. I just want to reply to/make semi-protected edit requests, can I be unblocked?
Thank you. English isn't my first language.

Decline reason:
This IP address is not blocked. The account that reverted you was a known vandal, and your edit should have been restored (if it wasn't, you should be able to publish it now). Sorry for the inconvenience. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:21, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
