Shahed 129

[edit]

Thank you for contacting me. I mainly reverted your change as it was initially unsourced. After looking at the source you provided this time, it says "a word that in the Islamic world can be translated as 'witness of faith,' but also has connotations to the act of becoming a martyr", implying that both could be correct. I changed the article to state that it could be either. Stating that it is one or the other simply because someone thinks it fits the context better is original research. - ZLEA T\C 23:49, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, and it's a good compromise. I thought about doing the same (including both translations) but you beat me to it! Just as a side note, I wanted to mention that I don't care about politics at all. I am just someone interested in language -- similar in a sense to how you seem to be interested in aircrafts. Happy new year to you :) 2607:FEA8:1F9F:A00:DE5:CAFD:B9A6:BD68 (talk) 00:01, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Same to you. :) - ZLEA T\C 00:11, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You might consider creating an account. Some articles on Iran-related topics are protected to prevent vandalism from unregistered users. Registering an account would allow you to edit many of those articles without having to make edit requests. - ZLEA T\C 00:15, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
