Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 2607:FB90:E74D:9123:C127:364A:AA93:2386, has made edits to the page Bryan Clark which do not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not already been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you did not make this change, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. Conflict of interest editing

[edit]

Information icon Hello, 2607:FB90:E74D:9123:C127:364A:AA93:2386. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Bryan Clark, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:47, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 2607:FB90:E74D:9123:C127:364A:AA93:2386. If you are as you state here, then please take the time to read through Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, in particular the part about "Writing about yourself, family, friends", and avoid directly editing the article even if you only mean to correct what you think are errors. Moreover, if you "know" that Clark's place of birth is given incorrectly in the article, please provide a link to a reliable source which supports your assertion. Wikipedia requires that article content be verifiable and the way this is done is by citing reliable sources in support. So, if you feel the information is correct and can provide link to a reliable source in support, please make an edit request at Talk:Bryan Clark and another editor will try and help sort things out. When it comes to Wikipedia articles, what we personally know about something is not really considered sufficient no matter how true it may be. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:56, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
