Hello, I'm Philipnelson99. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Jody Pinto because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hi, please don't add information that is not sourced. Unsourced information derived from interviews with an article's subject are not appropriate in Wikipedia. Elemimele (talk) 22:01, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Besides the obvious conflict of interest, you are also edit warring. Subjects of Wikipedia articles do not own their articles and you can not just add what you want because they want it. Stop and head to the article talk page where a reasonable discussion can occur.Slywriter (talk) 22:08, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

HEY! Not sure why this is a big deal to have the artist make changes to their own page. I have cited the relevant pages from my website to uphold the information I provided. Please stop changing my edits. The earlier versions are barely English and not suitable to be published under my name. Thank you, good day.- JODY PINTO

Stop now and move to the talk page of the article. You are violating core policies of Wikipedia over a mistaken belief you own the page and have a right to control its content. A discussion can be had but continuing to force your edits will just result in a block. Slywriter (talk) 22:12, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the talk page? I think my edits are valid. and well sourced now.

Talk:Jody Pinto is the proper place to discuss content and provide sources that support the change. Slywriter (talk) 22:14, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. I've withdrawn the editwarring complaint in hopes you will discuss on the article talk page. Slywriter (talk) 22:27, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Jody Pinto, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:40, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi IP 2603:7000:3A40:F200:1C0D:3858:813F:AC49. I've added the above template based upon your claim above that you are Jody Pinto. The template contains links (the text in blue) to various pages that will help you better understand relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines related to subjects of articles trying to edit what's written about them on Wikipedia. I also suggest that you take a look at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Relationship between the subject, the article, and Wikipedia because it contains additional information that you may find useful. Please be advised that Wikipedia (no one for that matter really) doesn't have any way of verifying who you really are simply from an IP address, but there are processes in place to help subjects of articles address any concerns they may have about what's written about them on Wikipedia. Therefore, your best bet at getting these concerns addressed will be to try and work within these processes and seek assistance from others. In addition, to the pages linked to above, you might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:Ownership of content, Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. If you have further questions about any of these things, you may asked them below or you can seek assistance at the Wikipedia Teahouse or Wikipedia Help Desk. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:52, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
