Speedy deletion nomination of Talk:Encanto 2
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Talk:Encanto 2, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is unambiguous vandalism or an obvious hoax. (See section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please do not introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, I understand and appreciate you would like to help edit Wikipedia, so here are a few helpful pointers.
Per the Manual of style, specifically section WP:FILMPLOT, film plot summaries are to be less than 700 words and only contain the most essential information, not extraneous side details or extra, unnecessary descriptions of scenes play-by-play (which often can be considered editorials and not accurate). They also are generally written in present tense. Some of your edits to Sing 2 were in past tense and also caused some run-on sentences with extraneous detail. You are, of course, welcome to make edits here as you wish; however, edits that don't match the manual of style are subject to reversion and once they have been reverted it is best to not simply put them back/revert the correction without further discussion on the article's talk page (See WP:Editwar).
In future, before adding to a plot summary, especially one that is already long, it might be best to A) Make sure your edit meets wordcount guidelines, B) make sure even if it doesn't take things over wordcount, it is strictly advancing the plot and not just adding details unnecessarily, and C)See if there was any plot summary related discussions/debates in the talk page or the edit history, because what you're trying to add may have been discussed already. Some good places besides the Manual of style to practice writing are The teahouse and the sandbox.
I hope this helps. Plot summaries are often the most messy and unencyclopedic parts of articles because of people not following these guidelines, and treating it as a "Wiki Fandom" site article, where any and all details would gain precedence over correct grammar/procedure/keeping it concise. Sometimes admins and long-time users can't get to them all in time, so you'll see articles that are messy like that from time to time, but that does not mean they're actually supposed to be/allowed to be like that. If you see one, it's best to flag it for correction. Thanks, EEBuchanan (talk) 17:06, 30 July 2023 (UTC)

Discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. EEBuchanan (talk) 17:53, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
I again reverted the edits that were incorrect, as well as some added by another IP that tended to the same purpose. Please read the manual of style and the earlier comments here and on the edit history, before you revert or edit the Sing 2 article again. If you revert it again, I will have to let it sit a day or two because I do not want to get flagged by theEdit Warring rule, but admins have been made aware of this situation since you did not answer me the last couple times so if you would like to discuss this with me or with them on the talk page of the article or on the noticeboard you can. Thanks! EEBuchanan (talk) 21:32, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
