I wrote most of the article back in late 2015/early 2016, which was a few years ago, and I've grown as a writer and an editor since then. I understand that some of what I wrote was either redundant or unnecessary, and I was going to go back and proofread the article in 2018, and would have made a lot of the same edits to the page that you did. I laughed at the "At Philmont, [...] Philmont." typo, I can't believe I honestly didn't catch that. I can't say I agree that the section talking about the flood itself should be taken out as a section; I feel like it helps to clarify that we're talking about something different now. Because the above part talks about the flood in general, and this part talks about Alden and Crew 380 specifically, since it was the portion of the incident that made this flood notable. I think it might even be appropriate to make it a new L2 and not to keep it as an L3. Anyway, I very much appreciate the help. Though you removed a lot, which I'm generally against, IMO you were right to remove most of what you did, since it was irrelevant to the topic of the article and arguably distracts the reader. While I believe local news is still worth using, I think I should be careful next time not to include things that are off-topic like this. What you did on this article alone helped me a lot as an editor and I thank you for that. PseudoSkull (talk) 06:29, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
