Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made on Olivia Gatwood. I greatly appreciate your constructive edits on Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (2601:246:C700:19D:1C9F:D382:94F8:2156) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page.

Again, welcome! Drmies (talk) 04:58, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies: I am a long time editor, very long. (More than 10K registered edits, edits on close to 2K unique pages, and tens of created pages.) Just don't trust people uniformly, here, with myself, and so will continue to edit unlogged. We can talk here, if you wish, since your Talk is protected. (Hope that is not so sad as it seems.) Cheers, and thanks for your bold edits to that poet's article. 2601:246:C700:19D:1C9F:D382:94F8:2156 (talk) 05:19, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, a name preserves your privacy better than an IP, plus you get toys. And the ability to edit my talk page! But I disagree with that list of poems you stuck back in: yes, there are (too many) articles that have it, but that's not OK--we're not for resumes. Plus, adding "this is personal opinion" in a hidden note just isn't helpful. If it's personal opinion, in a BLP, it shouldn't be in there. Drmies (talk) 15:33, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
