Alexf, this is a demonstrably bad block. I was following up on my report to ANI, and beginning to revert mass disruption by a blocked IP range [1]. Any help, Drmies, ToBeFree? 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 00:40, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Alexf, this block makes the encyclopedia worse. Please reconsider quickly. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 00:53, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, Drmies. I don't mind taking the rest of the night off. And I won't say anything about today's game, though I did watch some of it. Absolutely no defense on either side. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 01:11, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
Errors happen. Corrected. Unblocked. Sorry. -- Alexf(talk) 01:25, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- Great, Alexf. Now how about getting out a shovel and helping go through the edit history of 2401:4900:0:0:0:0:0:0/33 (talk · contribs)? I've probably made close to a hundred reversions on the October 14 and 15 edits alone, and have been by no means comprehensive. I'm guessing they've fouled thousands of articles. No hurry, they're blocked for a few months, but in the meantime their piss stains (if you will) are all over the project. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 03:43, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

- Defense, Drmies? As if having a real life is sufficient explanation.
- Turned out being a fan didn't go well here yesterday, either. Yankees pitching managed to give the game away in the ninth. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 21:52, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- By the way, doing laundry here, too. Went out for lunch, and had a lobster blt. Really. Then a ridiculous sundae. Still recovering. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 21:57, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm JPxG. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Wikipedia:Edit filter/False positives/Reports—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. jp×g 09:53, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- JPxG, please don't template me for removing vandalism edits by a disruptive account. Take the time to--a few extra seconds--to observe the context. And refrain from restoring said disruptive edits. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 09:54, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Let me check. jp×g 09:58, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- That was indeed a bad revert. Please accept my apologies. jp×g 09:59, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Much appreciated. Waiting for someone to block the user. Cheers. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 10:00, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm JPxG. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Kaura Khan Qaisrani, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.jp×g 11:04, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- I think we have a problem, JPxG, re: this edit and your second warning here [2]. Are you making these errors across the platform right now? I'm concerned about abuse of rollback tools. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 11:35, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Two fuckups in one night! On this one, I have no idea what happened. I actually remember making the revert -- there was a huge block of garbage with "DRAMA:" in it, and Huggle showed me the exact opposite (i.e. that the garbage had been added in the diff rather than removed), and I rolled it back. I am not sure why it would have done that -- I have set it to remove revisions from the queue if there have been subsequent edits to the page. I think a bug report may be in order. In the meantime I will go through and review my rollbacks for tonight. Sorry for the hassle, and thank you for letting me know. jp×g 11:41, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- An idle hypothesis I just came up with is that I've recently moved to a rather remote place, and the Internet connection sometimes randomly cuts out for a couple seconds. It may be possible that you reverted the vandalism, Huggle never received the new revision from the recent changes feed, and when it sent the rollback action, it reverted you instead of the vandal. This seems quite troubling and shouldn't be possible. Like I said, I will go and review my rollbacks from tonight. jp×g 11:44, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- I manually checked 176 reverts and undid two of them. The rest seem to have worked fine -- I think there may be an issue with rollbacks working improperly in Huggle when there's a subsequent IP edit (?) Either that or I am an idiot. In any case, sorry. jp×g 13:20, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- JPxG, you may be right about a glitch in the technology--this has happened a number of times in the past, and we've always thought it was sloppiness brought about by reverting too quickly. Maybe using rollback too often, too quickly creates occasional collateral damage. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:83FA (talk) 03:41, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
