Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to List of presidents of Benin, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 08:31, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copying and pasting within Wikipedia

[edit]

It looks like you are creating new articles by copying and pasting parts of existing articles into new pages, and then partially blanking the old ones. Please do not do this – it removes the edit history for one thing (so there is no way of knowing who wrote what in the article). As you have not used any edit summary it is impossible for other editors to understand what it is you are doing, unless they take the time, as I did, to look at all your edits.

That being said, I agree that it makes sense to have an article about the office, such as the President of Benin, and another article listing the presidents – having everything in the list article doesn't really make sense to me. But the change has to be done in a way that works within Wikipedia's guidelines and policies, and copypasting and blanking without any comments is not a good method. Please read this information and follow the procedure described ther. If you have questions, you can ask them at the Wikipedia Teahouse (I unfortunately will not have time to look at this further today, but at the Teahouse, there are always experienced and helpful editors around to answer questions.) Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Mercedes Aráoz, you may be blocked from editing. Emk9 (talk) 13:38, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of prime ministers of Mozambique. Emk9 (talk) 14:31, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please start discussing your edits instead

[edit]

Despite the notes above, and the explanation of why your cut-and-paste-and-blanking edits are not appropriate, you have kept making the same types of edits. Please stop, and start discussing your edits instead. As I said above, I think it probably makes sense (but then again there may be a reason why these articles were written in this way) but you can't just make these changes without any kind of explanation – especially since a number of different editors have now reverted you. --bonadea contributions talk 14:01, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
