[edit]Hello, I'm Arcendeight. I noticed that you recently removed content from Eastern religions without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The article that you deleted a section of specifically defines Eastern religions as including those originating in Iran. Should you disagree, please feel free to start a discussion on the talk page to make sure there is a consensus that what the page includes should change. - Hi, in my edit summary I said, "There isn't a single source on this page that says Zoroastrianism is an Eastern religion". To clarify none of the sources on the article confirm that Zoroastrianism is classified as an Eastern religion. There are no sources attributed to the claim so that's why I removed it. The information was added by an IP editor who didn't provide any sources to back up the claim that Zoroastrianism is an Eastern religion. The entire section I removed is unsourced. Hope I make sense. 2403:5801:98D4:0:5088:8DE8:DBE4:7BE1 (talk) 15:06, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello! I absolutely take your point! My reversion was based largely on the use of the "World Religions: Eastern Traditions" source to define the category at the top of the article and my subsequent misreading of page four of that book, which -- in fact -- places Zoroastrianism among the "Western Camp." I will be reverting my edit shortly. Thank you for the clarification and correcting me! Arcendeight (talk) 15:26, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
