[edit]Hello, 213.142.96.222. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 15:28, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Christian Krattenthaler, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 15:39, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Christian Krattenthaler. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. . Drmies (talk) 15:41, 14 October 2023 (UTC)OK IP editor (Herr Krattenthaler), here we go. You are now blocked from editing that article to prevent further disruption. You are not blocked from editing anything else, and you can use the article talk page, Talk:Christian Krattenthaler, to discuss your proposals. Actually, after your first edit was reverted and ThaddeusSholto placed the COI notification here, you should have gone there immediately, instead of continuing to revert. This suggests to me you couldn't be bothered to read the relevant guideline and to properly declare your conflict of interest--a note in an edit summary does not suffice. So, read the guideline and act appropriately.
Second, whatever happens on the German wiki is irrelevant here. You inserted unverified information, this is a [{WP:BLP|biography of a living person]], we can't have that. Worse, the link that was there, it doesn't show anything about Krattenthaler now, and it's not a secondary source anyway. We need secondary sources--and I mean Secondary sources, not one of those websites you mentioned in an edit summary. Please follow these two steps and gather all the articles in reliable secondary sources to flesh out the article. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:47, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
