I'm not sure how to add a copyright tag. The MRodNew.jpg photo was found on several online media reporting websites such as latina.com and so on. I'm not sure what the actual script tag would be for this. Can you assist? 2012Dance (talk) 18:38, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Celinesnew.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Celinesnew.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 18:27, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Just as with the MRodnew.jpg image, I'm not sure how to add a copyright tag, which one, and so forth. The image was taked from Ms. Toribio's official website and used with permission of Ms. Toribio. How would this then be listed/tagged? I'm not familiar with the proper structuring of the tags. Any help would be appreciated in this matter. Thank you. 2012Dance (talk) 18:40, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Celines
[edit]Hi, I’ve put the text here. Note the following
- I had already deleted the image separately. Images must be GFDL or Public Domain. If it’s not your own photo, you will have to prove that you have permission to use it under those terms
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page with a link to where we can find that note.
- Your message said pasted. If the text is copied from a website, sooner or later, a bot will tag it for deletion as a copyright violation
- Although it has one independent reference, more independent verifiable sources would help to show that it meets the notability guidelines.
- just a MoS thing, only the first word of the headings should be capitalised, and the first mention of her name should be bold

I'll remove any fan-ish sounding POV. Also, I can find and reference articles which back up some of the factual info I had up. As for the image, I will leave the message and send the email no problem. I'll also be sure to change the heading and bold the name. :) I'll try to follow all the guidelines you suggested and have the article up today with such corrections. Thanks for your help by the way. 2012Dance (talk) 13:34, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
You need to provide proof, not just a claim thereof, to your claims of permission for use. The best way to do this is via WP:OTRS, otherwise the images &/or text will continually be deleted. SkierRMH (talk) 18:18, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- The only way to use any non-free images is to follow the directions that you've looked through. Elsewise, the images will probably be deleted (faked &/or mis-labeled licenses are not a good idea, and a good way to get blocked permanently as a copyright violator) SkierRMH (talk) 18:30, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- "Licensing numbers" doesn't have anything to do with copyright - just look at the source of where the pics are from (sometimes not on the specific web page but on the site's privacy notice or other such page) to see the specific copyright limitations. SkierRMH (talk) 18:37, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks much better; images are a minefield, I'm afraid jimfbleak (talk) 19:29, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I'm setting this page up for Ms. Lali. She owns the photo but we don't have any liscensing info and it's far too complicated process on Wikipedia to bother with trying to figure out what exactly we need to do, so just delete it. Thanks. 2012Dance (talk) 18:03, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
