[edit]Hello, I'm Dr vulpes. An edit that you recently made to History of calendars seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. - No, it was not a test, it was a very helpful clarification. Without it, a reader would have to look up the page for Varro to see when his dating system was introduced. Saying it was "in the first century BC", is a necessary piece of information for a reader trying to understand how the systems evolved - if the date had been 4th century AD, for instance, it would suggest that a lot of dates using this system had been retroactively estimated, and thus be considerably more suspect. The object of Wikipedia is to be clear and helpful, but also rapid to use. 2001:56A:F0E9:9B00:D852:A2D3:C539:ACDA (talk) 06:05, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
