[edit]Hello, I'm Suonii180. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Calgary Zoo, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Suonii180 (talk) 16:59, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Frankfurt Airport. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. DB1729 (talk) 17:07, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Calgary Zoo, you may be blocked from editing. Suonii180 (talk) 17:10, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Calgary Zoo. Suonii180 (talk) 17:32, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Your edit on Calgary Zoo was reverted because of vandalism. GameEnd (talk) 18:20, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- You need to find a source or ref for those claims on Calgary Zoo. GameEnd (talk) 18:26, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Hi 2001:56A:7B14:CC00:DDF2:13F3:4A27:E79D! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Calgary Zoo several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Calgary Zoo, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Isabelle 🔔 19:34, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

- I'm not saying it's incorrect, I'm saying that you need to provide sources. Please see WP:CITE and WP:RELIABLE. It is the responsibility of the editor adding information to find a source for it. If you have any questions then feel free to ask me or at the WP:TEAHOUSE. Suonii180 (talk) 17:26, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi
[edit]Can you please stop removing it because the pandas left in 2020 and this is the truth and the gibbons ad the tapir is at the zoo! 2001:56A:7B14:CC00:DDF2:13F3:4A27:E79D (talk) 17:46, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- No one is saying that it isn't true but you need to provide a reliable source. See WP:CITE for how to reference or leave a message Talk:Calgary Zoo about getting the information changed but do not remove sourced content from articles and replace it with unsourced content. Also, just so you know, you don't have to create an entirely new section when replying. Simply click "edit source" next to the section title, add another colon below my reply (so if mine had 1 colon your reply would have 2 colons, mine had 2, yours would have 3, etc.) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:26, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, 2001:56A:7B14:CC00:DDF2:13F3:4A27:E79D. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Calgary Zoo, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You are only receiving this message because you have stated that you work at the zoo. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:14, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi
[edit]I am not sure why it is removed my edits from the Calgary zoo? 2001:56A:7B14:CC00:DDF2:13F3:4A27:E79D (talk) 19:31, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Do not continue with your editing. You have been told already to not remove outdated content and you continue to do so. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:32, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Your edits are being removed because they're not supported by any sources. If you want to say that the pandas are coming back, you need a reliable newspaper article or other independent source that says so. If you can find one, and you use it to support what you write in the article about the zoo, then you are much, much less likely to have the edits removed. Good luck! Elemimele (talk) 19:36, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Elemimele: THey are trying to say that the pandas are no longer at the zoo, which I have added into the article with a ref from CNN. THey are continuing to remove the rest of the info purely because it is outdated. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:37, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Blaze Wolf: sorry to have misunderstood. But IP user, the point remains: I see you've been blocked at the moment, but when you're back, please make sure your edits have sources. It's a bit of a weird situation: Wikipedia isn't here to report what we individually know to be true. It's here to summarise what reliable sources elsewhere say is true. If an article contains information that is out of date, you can re-write it to make it clear that it refers to past situations, and you can add new text to give the current situation, but only if you can find something source to demonstrate that what you're writing is true. Perhaps illogically, seeing it with your own eyes doesn't count. That's the job of the newspaper reporter, not the job of the Wikipedia editor. The job of the Wikipedia editor is to read (and summarise) the newspapers, not to go looking at Pandas. Also, as others have said, if you find yourself in a disagreement, go to the article's talk-page and discuss it. Elemimele (talk) 19:45, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
