[edit]Hello, I'm Glane23. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Manga Entertainment, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Geoff | Who, me? 14:31, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Geoff, I’m Andy Frain, the founder of Manga Entertainment. I previously worked for Island Records and at Chris Blackwell’s suggestion, set up Island World Communications in January 1991 after PolyGram purchased Island Records. IWC later changed its name to Manga Entertainment after the successful release of Akira. Island World Communications was a subsidiary of the Island World Group set up by Blackwell and John Heyman (late father of film producer David Heyman) and had no corporate connection with Island Records which was now wholly owned by PolyGram. Laurence Guinness worked for me at Island and at IWC / Manga, as an acquisitions executive and later technical executive. He wasn’t a director of the company during my tenure. I left in November 1994 after the completion of the company’s first co-production Ghost in the Shell. All those facts are verifiable from the links on the page and check Uk Companies House and simple Google checks. Frankly I don’t care whether I am mentioned but please correct the many errors on the page. 193.237.189.136 (talk) 14:46, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
