Using the wrong flag and using only color
[edit]The wrong flag is being used for Russian players... do not use a white outlined field as that is incorrect. Also, we cannot per guidelines use only color as a descriptive term. I tried a dot and now I'm using bold, but we can't use only color. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:50, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please check Australian Open website for scoresheets, a white flag in place of Russian & Belarussian flags 164.100.138.238 (talk) 08:08, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Barbora Krejčíková career statistics, you may be blocked from editing. Stop removing countries from charts. They are required per guidelines If you add something live and new... great! If you subtract info at the same time, not so great. - But why to add country name when its obvious that Australian Open takes place in Australia? 164.100.138.238 (talk) 08:06, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Two reasons. 1) it is per Tennis Project Guidelines that were painstakingly made over many years and many compromises. And 2) it is not always obvious. Some events have a country name but are not always played in that country. They can be played in a close neighboring border city. We had that issue in several car racing and soccer events. Even the Monte-Carlo Masters isn't held in Monaco so for consistency across tables we include the country name... in full if possible, but with tables where length is an issue we will shorten it at times. Had they been separate edits I would have reverted only the content removal, but it wouldn't allow that once other changes were made. At that point it is up to you to re-add the correct stuff by removing the offending part of the edit. Fyunck(click) (talk) 09:27, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

- The Australian Open has a new champion, are we not supposed to update that? 164.100.138.238 (talk) 11:20, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- You're supposed to explain what you are doing and cite sources. Drmies (talk) 16:54, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
