On January 30th, 2016, engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology were named the winners after the competition located at Texas A&M University. Finishing second was Delft University of Technology from Netherlands, then the University of Wisconsin, followed by Virginia Tech, and the University of California.[53] While the Massachusetts Institute of Technology took best overall, The Delft University of Technology won the Pod Innovation Award.[54]
