Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Paul Simon discography may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 16:59, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm LongLiveMusic. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Why Me? (Irene Cara song), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

should everything that says OSX be changed to say macOS now?

[edit]

I would argue it should not. in particular, you changed the text at Robotics simulator for a bunch of software packages that do most definitely support OSX, but may or may not yet actually support macOS... which is the new *version* of the operating system, as well as being the new brand. There are plenty of old software packages which only support OLD versions of the operating system from Apple, and will never get updated to work on the new system properly.

So I recommend that you not change *everything* from OSX to instead say macOS, because you might be introducing inaccurate information. Please only change from OSX to the new re-branding as macOS, when you are sure that the software application being referenced by your change, actually DOES in fact support macOS as a platform. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Get Lucky (Loverboy album), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Terasail[Talk] 14:14, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
