[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Since your edits at Randomized controlled trial have been questioned, your best course of action is now to discuss the matter on the article's talk page and try to get consensus there. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 19:57, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yes... Please spell out your concerns on the article's talk page. Tayste (edits) 19:50, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- My apologies! I am new to editing Wikipedia and did not even know to come to the talk page until I checked this morning. Thanks for explaining. Will adhere to this approach moving forward.128.147.197.37 (talk) 14:46, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Randomized controlled trial shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Guy Macon (talk) 22:40, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- See comment above - my apologies. This is somewhat new to me. Will take into account moving forward, and thank you!128.147.197.37 (talk) 14:46, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- I have been editing Wikipedia for twelve years. When I first started I screwed up big time -- and not just once -- but I found everyone was super helpful once they figured out that I wanted to do the right thing but didn't know how. Welcome! Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you need help with anything at all. I have a good feeling about you from your comments above and I think you are going to be a fine editor. --Guy Macon (talk) 15:04, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your understanding! Glad to have joined the community. 128.147.197.37 (talk) 20:41, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
