I am not sure why you would regard it as controversial. The judgement was made public and was widely reported on and discussed at the time. The judges are unlikley to have released a judgement they are not happy to have made public. Hewas a drug courier - he was convicted - his appeal was rejected - the judgement is on the public record and did not address all aspects of the appeal - the media reported it - he was hanged - he was buried in Melbourne. How can you pick and choose which facts to keep in and which ones to leave out? I think it is an interesting part of the story. I think the whole thing was above board - I hope in removing this fact you are not alleging foul play in Singapore?
