[edit]Please note that there's currently a discussion at the talk page for the article regarding your addition of Gaza-related content. If you wish that to be included in the article, you'll need to get a consensus to include it at that discussion. Cheers! DonIago (talk) 16:07, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! I just added my opinion/take on the talk page regarding this. I just think, TWO people should NOT make a consensus. But I'm not sure about Wikipedia's rules on how many users does it take to make a consensus? They should've waited for opinions/responses before making a conclusion. 118.208.106.99 (talk) 03:35, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- That's not really how WP works. As per WP:BRD, which is an essay but a pretty broadly respected one (in my experience), editors have the right to revert you if they have a valid reason for doing so (i.e. if they're not just engaging in vandalism or such), and the onus is then on you to initiate a discussion if you feel your edit was an improvement and should remain in place. Your suggested approach would seem to be that editors need to build a case for removing content before they can do so. I know that can be frustrating, but it's vital that there be a dialogue when there's disagreement as to whether contested material is appropriate for inclusion. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
