Some discussions go to talk pages. In general, events are past tense (once they are past), but otherwise present. The act of designing is an event, so ... xxx designed the yyy in 1980. A design on paper, even if never built, is present, unless all copies are torn up. If you want to discuss more, yes, use the TR-1 talk page. Gah4 (talk) 17:30, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gah4: In retrospect, I think you were probably right to delete the section as unreferenced. The six transistor version would have been ridiculously expensive as it was using the then new junction transistors which were rare (specially made by Texas for the design allegedly). The design was slimmed down to four transistors as a cost saving measure (though that version still cost around $50 in 1954, so was not cheap). 109.152.226.245 (talk) 17:46, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Television licensing in the United Kingdom; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
