Hi. In Chinese Taipei Baseball Association, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page BFA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re your repeated edits to Category:British Rail electric multiple units, would you please explain why you think that fr:Catégorie:Automotrice du Royaume-Uni, for example, is not an appropriate inter-wiki link? - David Biddulph (talk) 14:12, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese and Magyar Category inculude underground multiple units, Chinese and franch Category mean Category:Electric multiple units of the UK. 隼鷹 (talk) 14:38, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly reminder about marking edits as "minor"

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to DeKi 300, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 14:13, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2012–13 Top League, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Miyagi, Yamagata and Shizuoka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hanja

[edit]

Hello.

May I ask you a question about your edits? Where did you find that Hanja data? Thanks.

I confirmed your link for cinematographer "丁正勳", and a Google book's data. However, in this case, Yomiuri Shimbun, like Kim Na-hyun, is not WP:IRS in my opinion, becuase of only Yomiuri data is searched. But I don't know whether word "金娜玄" #1 is right or not. And I think, Chinese data, like the curlers, also cannot be used for the source because some Chinese case is different from Hanja, such as "朴裕天" (朴有天 in Chinese) Thanks.
--Garam (talk) 14:18, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the names of Korean people are often used as a Chinese transliteration of a Korean word by Chinese language media, such as "趙文盧" #2, but real Hanja is "趙原佑". So, we need to be careful about it. First, I will try to contact one curling player directly. But I'm not sure whether will be reply for my questions. Thanks.
--Garam (talk) 07:52, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, first I understand. But in the past, some cases were spelled name (with Hanja) incorrectly by the big newspapers in Japan and South Korea, such as Gim Jeongun (김정, 金正), but in fact real name is Gim Jeongeun (김정, 金正). (For this, see ja:金正恩#名前). So, I said that we need to be careful about it. Thanks.
--Garam (talk) 12:53, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the name Gim Jeongun (김정, 金正) is from Chinese language press. Anyhow, thanks for your cooperation.

Non-existent categories

[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Izumo-class cruiser, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:34, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
