The core ideology of socialism

[edit]

How is "The core ideology of socialism" written in Chinese? I have a gut feel that this is a notable topic, but I get very few hits for that English phrase when looking for other sources to back it up. Is it typically translated differently? - GretLomborg (talk) 04:03, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

[edit]

I just thought I'd let you know that I appreciate your contribution to Wikipedia of the Core Socialist Values article, and I'm glad that it was not deleted. You had mentioned in the deletion discussion that you're new to Wikipedia. In the future, it might be helpful to submit your new articles through the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, to help improve them and avoid the deletion process. It might also be good to get some help from WikiProject China; I had asked them for help on your article and I think their efforts made saving it much easier.

Anyway, I hope you continue to contribute to Wikipedia in the future, especially to help fill in gaps in its coverage of China. - GretLomborg (talk) 19:38, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I have reverted the translation for "诚信" and "友善" in the values from "honesty and kindness" to "integrity and friendship" based on China Daily USA along with multiple other English sources. Remember that the best way to find out the commonly recognizable name in English usage is to do a quick Google search. In this case, compare translation #1 and translation #2. Thanks and keep up the good work. Alex ShihTalk 11:16, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalizations

[edit]

Please note that there are rules governing capitalization of titles per WP:NCCAPS. Capitalization should only be used when it is a proper name, and that is not a proper name. Note also the wrong use of capitalization of subheadings in the article. Stop capitalizing everything. Hzh (talk) 11:34, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@邬山: That is not in English, and English have their own rules. I see that they use capitalization for the law but the system is not capitalized - [1]. There is also no need to copy your reply to my talk page, you can use things like {{reply to|user name}} and your reply will be notified to the user. Hzh (talk) 11:57, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
