Information icon Hello, I'm Thedarkknightli. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jet Li, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please remember that Wikipedia isn't a reliable source, see WP:CIRCULAR. Thank you. Yukio Mishima

[edit]

Hi, long time no see! Hope you're having a good day. I'm here to ask about the Yukio Mishima article, you've said last month you planned upon an English version for the 三島事件 which you've brought up to GA quality on Japanese Wikipedia, and I wish to know whether or not you still desire to do so? If so, I'll do my very best to help you out with said venture. Zinderboff(talk) 04:23, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zinderboff. Thank you very much. I am currently translating the "三島事件" on my PC notebook, translating the "1967" part of the section "The JSDF and Mishima," which summarizes the events that occurred in the four years leading up to the incident.
I am thinking of making the English version shorter than the Japanese version, up to the section "The JSDF and Mishima," so I think I will have the whole article draft ready by early October.
I have copied the translation up to the point where I have completed it (up to "After the incident") to the sandbox. (User:みしまるもも/sandbox) There are probably quite a few sentences that are difficult to understand in English, so please check them. At the end of the sentence for the three defendants, the judge quoted words from 王陽明 Wang Yangming's "伝習録," and I had a hard time translating that part. I need to check the literature that Japanese translation of the original meaning of Wang Yangming's words, otherwise the English translation is still a little unclear. みしまるもも (talk) 06:31, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Sorry for not doing too much work on the draft yet. I'm currently a little bit busy, but will help all the way when I get time soon! Zinderboff(talk) 16:06, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Thank you for your kindness. Of course, it's perfectly fine for you to check it when you have time. It's OK. I'm also translating the next draft little by little, so it will take quite a while before I can paste all the drafts into the sandbox. みしまるもも (talk) 00:17, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
