Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Agatha Christie—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 13:47, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Ice Storm (film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 05:15, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to The Ice Storm (film) have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 07:27, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! and edit summary reminder

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for all the recent edits you have made! I encourage you to use edit summaries. It is considered good form to provide a summary with every edit. It makes it a lot easier for others to tell if they need to check your edit, and there are other benefits, too. Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 00:28, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just another message to say please use edit summaries. If there is something holding you back from using them, perhaps I can help you figure it out? Just let me know. Thanks! Doctormatt (talk) 19:04, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Best 1,000 films?

[edit]

Please note that I've asked at WT:FILM as to whether it's appropriate to update a film's article to note that it was included on a list of "best 1,000 films". You're welcome to participate in that discussion. I would ask that you hold off on further edits of this nature until a consensus has emerged. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 17:05, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
