Categorizing species
[edit]When you put a species into a genus category, like Category:Camassia, you need to add a category key. Thus Camassia quamash should have [[Category:Camassia|quamash]] at the eend, so that it appears under "Q". Look at Category:Scilla for example. Peter coxhead (talk) 20:37, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Peter Coxhead, thank you for bringing to my attention the importance of including category keys when adding species to the genus categories. I have taken note of your suggestions and have gone ahead and added the necessary category keys. 🌿 – Mariâ Magdalina (talk) 20:50, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Buddhism
[edit]Hi there Mariâ, I am indeed Buddhist - and have been for over 45 years! I also enjoyed our discussion over! What do you have in mind? All the best, 20040302 (talk) 15:29, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello there! It's wonderful to learn about your extensive 45 years of experience as a Buddhist. I thoroughly enjoyed our discussion too! Regarding the idea I mentioned earlier, considering the abundance of articles on Buddhism on English Wikipedia, I was wondering if you would be interested in co-authoring an article on a specific topic that aligns with your interests within Buddhism. Perhaps there are noteworthy subjects that haven't been covered yet. What are your thoughts on this? Best wishes! – Mariâ Magdalina (talk) 15:41, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- We can hash out our texts in those sandboxes on Wikipedia and discuss the content elsewhere. No worries about my English, mate – we'll make it tip-top together. Cheers from overseas! – Mariâ Magdalina (talk) 18:35, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Wotcha! And Happy New Year! I was thinking that maybe there could be something on Buddhism and Buddhists in Tuva - frankly there's a lot of Buddhism on Wikipedia nowadays.. Much of which I have had to recuse myself from, due to issues of vested interests. I don't know much about Russian Buddhism, though - and maybe it would be an area that you would be interested in assisting with? If not, fine - I'm interested in finding out what interests you too. (20040302 (talk) 16:38, 22 January 2024 (UTC))
- User:20040302, hello! I noticed your message but only got around to reading it now. I find monotheistic religions quite troubling, especially given the death threats I've received for critiquing their doctrines. Thanks for reaching out; it’s appreciated. – Mariâ Magdalina (talk) 22:46, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- I meant that after editing Wikipedia, I received death threats from Islamists. Some of them even endorsed the Sharia law about killing apostates. Honestly, I’ve had enough. – Mariâ Magdalina (talk) 22:59, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Wow that is really bad. Yeah, most of the Buddhist traditions consider that harm always brings harm. In general Buddhism is not evangelic and does not even to claim universal benefit: We must look at the context of our situation to determine the most appropriate spiritual path for ourselves.
- The most simple truths are deeply profound - that, while nothing persists - not even for the shortest moment, the present moment determines the subsequent moment: There are no actions without consequences. 20040302 (talk) 10:44, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
