I just noticed that the website of this GL is down, in a form that usually indicates non-payment. Are you aware of a problem? Thanks. Fiddlersmouth (talk) 00:40, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
I can remove the link to the site. There are some problems. I hope that the site will soon start working. ДМ (talk) 14:27, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
- I suggest flagging it and giving it a few weeks to see if it comes back. My concern is that allowing their main website to lapse without an alternative (Facebook still points to the same dead link) is usually a sign of a deeper problem. No urgency, though. Disambiguation link notification for February 7
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Grand Lodge of Russia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grand Master. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

re Gavriil Kamenev
[edit]Hi. What's your source for categorizing Gavriil Kamenev as a freemason? Herostratus (talk) 22:14, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
There are dozens of these unsourced changes, including categorizing non-Russians like Michel Garder as "Russian Freemasons". Please stop and WP:VERIFY. If not in the article at lease provide a citation on the talk page. Qzd (talk) 04:10, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- IKR. Kamenev seems the canary in the coal mine because he's awfully obscure, and there doesn't seem to be much biographical info about him available at all. Pony up your sources or face rollback on all of these. Herostratus (talk) 16:25, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Freemasons of the Grand Orient of Russia’s Peoples requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —swpbT go beyond 21:16, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Smjg. I noticed that you recently removed all content from United Grand Lodge of Russia. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. — Smjg (talk) 12:16, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Hello. This is an erroneous redirection, because on the page History of Freemasonry in Russia there is nothing about the United Grand Lodge of Russia. The history of Freemasonry in Russia is not the history of the United Grand Lodge of Russia, which was created only in 2008. ДМ (talk) 12:33, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Then how about following the instructions I've just given you? — Smjg (talk) 14:28, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
I explained to you that the United Grand Lodge of Russia is not mentioned in the article History of Masonry in Russia. The redirect is wrong. It must be deleted.ДМ (talk) 14:48, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- I heard you the first time. So what? — Smjg (talk) 00:41, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Grand Orient of Russia's Peoples
[edit]Hello, I realise that you are aligned to London freemasonry, but we do not judge and claim that those aligned or originating from Paris freemasonry are "illegitimate", this is an internal basic squabble. The Grand Orient of Russia's Peoples clearly belongs in a category on Russian freemasonry. Claíomh Solais (talk) 21:55, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Hello, Grand Orient of Russia's Peoples was not a Masonic organization. Read the memoirs of his leader - Kerensky. He was co-Freemasonry, Masonry - no. ДМ (talk) 05:41, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
The proposal to join the Masons I received in 1912, immediately after being elected to the Fourth Duma. After serious reflection, I came to the conclusion that my own goals coincide with the goals of society, and accepted this proposal. It should be emphasized that the society I entered into was not an ordinary Masonic organization. The first thing that was unusual was that society broke all ties with foreign organizations and admitted women into its ranks. Further, a complex ritual and the Masonic system of degrees were eliminated; Only an indispensable internal discipline was maintained that guaranteed the high moral qualities of members and their ability to keep secrets. No written reports were made, lists of members of the lodge were not drawn up. This maintenance of secrecy did not lead to a leakage of information about the purposes and structure of society. When I studied the circulars of the police department at the Hoover Institution, I did not find in them any information about the existence of our society, even in those two circulars that concern me personally.

This text in the Russian article on VVNR, with qualitative references to historians of Freemasonry, doctors of science:

Kerensky's Masonic Network
[edit]Hello Freemason. I am slightly confused by your edits to Grand Orient of Russia’s Peoples, Category:Grand Orient of Russia’s Peoples and Category:Members of the Grand Orient of Russia’s Peoples.
The Grand Orient of Russia’s Peoples was founded directly from Russian-based lodges of the Grand Orient of France and the Grand Lodge of France. These people were Russian and Freemasons, so they belong in the category Russian Freemasons. The fact that this organisation allowed women to be members, doesn't change this (Reform Judaism is still a branch of Judaism, even if it allows females to be Rabbis, for example). Co-Freemasonry is a form of freemasonry.
Also, this organisation operated in both the Russian Republic (which it essentially created) and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, as your man Alexander Halpern was still in hiding in Petrograd in 1918, trying to whip up counter-revolution before going off to work more openly for British intelligence. So these states belong in the infobox.
If you could explain how your edits and removal of applicable categories makes sense, that would be fantastic. Claíomh Solais (talk) 14:44, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hello! Yes, this organization was created by members of several мasonic lodges, but not all. The majority did not support the creation of this organization. Of the 94 masons, only 37 took part in the creation of the GOoRP. At the time of the official proclamation of this organization (1912) several lodges had already ceased their work or were closed by the GOdF (1910). Freemasons and lodges of the GOdF did not participate in the creation of the GOoRP. This is written by A. Kerensky in his memoirs. He also writes that GOoRP severed relations with all Masonic organizations in the world by the time it was created. There is no information on the correct establishment of the lodges. Rituals were simplified. And the Masonic regulations were abolished. Therefore, after the October Revolution of 1917, everyone who wanted to return to Freemasonry had to undergo a ritual of regularization. Kerensky and some of his comrades refused to do this and they were not recognized by the Masons even in the GOdF. References to Russian historians of Freemasonry confirm these facts. That's why I delete your wrong categories. ДМ (talk) 15:29, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
Hello User:ДМ. The edit you have made twice to this article today does not make grammatical sense in English. A Grand Lodge, if recognised by the Regular masonic world, is said to be the regular jurisdiction for that country, or of that country. It is not the regular jurisdiction to that country, as you have suggested. I suspect there is some difficulty of translation here, on the assumption that English is not your first language. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 15:51, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, оf course, English is not my native language. But I'll try differently to write. ДМ (talk) 16:13, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Russian freemasons
[edit]Hello. I have recently suppressed the category "Russian freemason" in 30 pages, because these articles either mention nothing concerning freemasonry, or mentions the term but in reference to other persons. You reverted me without any comment. It is very possible that you are right for some of these article, maybe even for all of them. But Wikipedia cannot accept your word for it: if you want to restore the mention of the category, the freemasonry of the person must be mentioned in the article and referenced with a reliable source. Please provide sources: if you revert me again without any comment I will notify you to an administrator. Sapphorain (talk) 07:55, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
