ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:12, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

How do I stop the abject stupidity?

I'm finding significant annoyance with Lowercase sigmabot III and am looking for a way to turn it off.

The bot keeps reappearing at Talk:Electric guitar and stuffing posts — not, incidentally, mine alone — into one increasingly HUGE Archive page. Bad enough when it staggers foully past after 4-6 months, but sometimes it has arrived like a drunken Godzilla after less than three hours.

As a result, there is pretty much ZERO opportunity for erstwhile editors to discuss changes and how they could be made, far much less any immediately clear way to share our rationalizations as to what we did and why. Editors show up at Electric guitar and blithely re-add (not revert) what someone else has recently deleted (even re-deleted).

While I'm all for the be bold anarchic nonsense and the joy of unfettered butchery, this really needs to cease. As well, I'm interested in knowing why THAT article has been singled out for such obsessed attention.

@Weeb Dingle, there is a template at the top of the page (added in 2015) to automatically archive old sections. It's configured (in that template) to archive threads after 31 days, so I've changed it to 365 days. Feel free to change it to whatever you want or remove it altogether. Also consider using Template:Do not archive until in threads that will be unresolved for a while. czar 03:06, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Script error

Hi, Sigma. Your archiving script did a strange thing during this edit. See Line 395 and Line 446/Line 405 in the diff. GUYWAN ( t · c ) 13:09, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

I'm not Technical 13. Are you referring to User:Σ/Testing_facility/Archiver? Σσς(Sigma) 03:29, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

@Σ: Oops. Yes I am. GUYWAN ( t · c ) 13:13, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
