Jean Wynn (talk) 19:58, 27 May 2016 (UTC) Can you find out why the entry Frank Strawn Hamilton was removed in the last month?
- Sorry, but I can't. →Σσς. (Sigma) 19:02, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
FYI
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Lowercase sigmabot is malfunctioning. Thank you. Not sure exactly what was going on, but I think you should be informed. -- The Voidwalker Discuss 21:38, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Editor Interaction Analyzer again
Hey man, curious if you're aware of any hiccups with the EIA. I ran this report, but it only returned one intersection, but when I poked manually through their edits, I found intersections at Kanthaswamy, at Rocky Handsome, and at Urumeen. (It'll be more obvious if you have the "mark blocked" script turned on.) Any chance you could look into this, please? Many thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:50, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Update: Weird, now I'm seeing two intersections in the report, but there's still at least 3 that I found... Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:52, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- I see all three. I would probably guess that the labs databases are lagging behind the actual Wikipedia ones. →Σσς. (Sigma) 03:04, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ah. Okay. Guess I'll be less impatient next time. Appreciate the response, thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:01, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Hour in French on https://tools.wmflabs.org/sigma/
Good morning Σ,
Thank you for the wmflabs tool for the created pages.
I think there is a little mistake in the report: hours and minutes are the same.
For instance, [1] give the following:
- 13 juin 2016 à 44:44 (diff | hist) . . (+3,989) . . René Gatissou (créa Compagnon de la Libération)
- 09 juin 2016 à 26:26 (diff | hist) . . (+3,901) . . Joseph Trigeaud (créa Compagnon de la Libération)
- 07 juin 2016 à 17:17 (diff | hist) . . (+4,029) . . Jules Le Mière (création compagnon de la Libér.)
- 04 juin 2016 à 43:43 (diff | hist) . . (+485) . . Loucheur (homonymies)
and so on. But it is correct with server=enwiki; perhaps it is just for French language.
Thank you, With best wishes, Kertraon (talk) 12:40, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Facepalm Ugh, sorry. It's fixed now. →Σσς. (Sigma) 03:23, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
Archy
Gave Archy a try - nice idea! Seems to be missing a newline, though? Or is it just me? See this edit. Opabinia regalis (talk) 04:06, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thought I'd just reply in this section. Also gave Archy a try. My current talk archive ends with a {{usertalkarchive}} at the bottom. During archival, it wasn't able to detect, which wasn't surprising I suppose. Is this detection possible? Also, is it possible to append a space to the front of the archive button to keep it balanced? ("[ archive ]" rather than "[archive ]") Thanks for the VPT notice :) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 05:54, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- The prompt "Where should we move the threads to?" wasn't obvious that it was asking for a subpage or a full page name initially. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 05:57, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- Some comments:
- Seems to need a little more documentation, even for testing. I didn't know to look for the "archive selected threads" up on the top right.
- The cursor I got was the "type text 'I' cursor" rather than the expected "hand" cursor when hovering over the archive link.
- I used this on Talk:World of Warcraft; I didn't expect to need to input the desired location of the archive, given that there is already a Miszabot config. (Having it work with ClueBot config would be good too.)
- Somewhere in one of the modal windows, the tool should probably advertise, based on the Miszabot config, what the current archive's size is and how much you would be adding.
- Alternatively, the script should take care of shipping the threads to the correct locations based on Miszabot's max archive size, archive counter, and etc.
- Needs a more advertisey edit summary. That may be for later though?
- Needs more information in the summary: at the least the number of threads archived and to which archive they're being removed.
- --Izno (talk) 11:38, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on this right now. →Σσς. (Sigma) 19:02, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi! One thing, that I noticed, is, that I get "ØCA" at Special: ns pages. So you should change the check for ns, that it has to be positive integer. --Edgars2007 (talk/contribs) 10:38, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback.
- the tool should probably advertise, based on the Miszabot config [...] Alternatively, the script should take care of shipping the threads to the correct locations based on Miszabot I thought about that, but decided that the tool should be generalisable; it is intended to simplify the act of cutting and pasting threads for situations where a bot may not be needed/wanted/able to archive a particular thread, even if a MiszaBot template is already active on the page. But in any case a user should be able to discern the correct archive target by looking at the most recent archive in the box that lists all the archive pages.
- to Andy W: Is this detection possible? Nope. "[ archive ]" rather than "[archive ]" Yep.
- I'll look at the other comments as I go. →Σσς. (Sigma) 00:17, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- I'd consider the current revision to be version 1.
- I notice that archiving a level n header does not also archive the level i, i<n headers directly below it. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with that, given how the abstract concept of a page section is, but it might be slightly unintuitive and I may look into it later. →Σσς. (Sigma) 03:06, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
In case you wanted some more feedback: it would be awesome if the script used, say, mw.notify instead of vanilla JS alert()'s, as I find that the former method of notification is less of a distraction. Also, you could also consider making the fixed element at the bottom a div instead of a button so that it would be possible to display information like the number of threads selected next to the button. Enterprisey (talk!) (formerly APerson) 02:50, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- alert() blocks until the user hits the button, while mw.notify does not, which was my main motivator in designing it. I'll see what I can do about displaying more information. →Σσς. (Sigma) 19:34, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
Drafts
Hi, while looking through the backlog of stale userpage drafts, I came across a few of yours.
Would it be possible for the one about Python Package Index to be merged into Python Package Index? Your draft contains a lot of info that the mainspace article is missing. As for the other two, what are they used for? Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:25, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- It's been years since I've thought about them, much less touched them. They're ideas that never made it to mainspace, for some reason or another.
- For PyPI, it's possible to merge what can be merged, yes. It actually might be able to be DYK'd, with some more work. Perhaps it should. →Σσς. (Sigma) 19:34, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- How would the merge be done? Copying and pasting isn't an option. Would it be done through a way like WP:PROMERGE? Anarchyte (work | talk) 08:20, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
- In the past for things like this, I had them history-merged by deleting the target page, moving the draft to the target, and undeleting all the revisions of the recently deleted page. However quite some time has passed, so I would be careful about disrupting the page history.
- I think it may be worth keeping in userspace to work toward DYK quality. I'm quite busy nowadays, but the page is unprotected so anyone is free to improve it. And who knows: perhaps someone will. →Σσς. (Sigma) 03:17, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- We could move it do draft namespace, when it's in user space not many people edit them. Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:17, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, the draft namespace. Yes, that's a thing. Do pages in that namespace get more views? I have no problem if you move it there but don't feel obligated to; there's no need to move things that don't need to be moved. →Σσς. (Sigma) 05:32, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
