List of most valuable comic books
[edit]I just wanted to let you know that the information for that article is all from the First appearance article, and that article lists all the sources. You can put them in if you want because I was too lazy too, but dont tagg it and say its unsourced. Rodrigue 21:33, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Like I explained to Rodrigue, it is his responsibility to put references. I have reverted his attempts at removing the unreferenced tags. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 21:41, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
References for Sirius.B
[edit]Hello,
You left a comment on the article I created about the band Sirius.B stating that additional references were required. I believe this is due to the lack of inline references. I'm working now to correct this. Please check back on April 23 or later to see if it still meets the requirements.
Thank you very much for your help.

- Hi. No, the refimprove template I left on top of the article had nothing to do with the status of inline citation, but due the absence of multiple WP:RS and the links posing as RS. With the current level of 'references' being limited to siriusbmusic.com, myspace.com, xguitars.com and cdbaby.com, all completely unacceptable as RS references, only the Asheville NC paper Mountain Xpress and Knoxville News Sentinel are in that category, and the coverage is so far not vast. As is, unless there is some published coverage in secondary sources, and the self-promotional language and external link plugging is cleaned up, the article will be considered against WP:NM criteria (which you can see aren't insignificant), being prodded or going to WP:AFD. Please don't remove the template until it's addressed. Ødipus 02:59, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I see... I added a reference from the Asheville Citizen Times as well as a few major regional blogs. There are two other newspaper articles from separate newspapers that I know have existed about this band and I am currently searching for them. So, only Mountain Xpress and Knoxville News Sentinel, and Citizen Times should be used with REF tags and the other links should have the REF tags removed? Would links to radio stations showing dates of appearances on the radio or posted videos of the band playing on the radio be counted as valid references? I know they have appeared live on at least three different regional radio stations and there is at least one video somewhere of this that I may be able to find. Would those be enough to make it notable? I've emailed the band via the email address on their website to see if they have other newspaper or radio references they can direct me to but as of yet I've not heard back from them. There are bound to be some articles from Atlanta newspapers that I'm not aware of.
- THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! --Jennfinan (talk) 16:53, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Jennfinan
- No problem. The online news articles are a good move, and you're free to include print publication references inside <ref> </ref> tags, as well as citing statements in reference to TV and radio interviews (there is a host of citation formats at WP:CT) although merely mentioning times the band's music has been played on various channels probably has little use. Links like myspace and cdbaby usually fall under WP:ELNO, and a rash editor that sees such applied as refernces might cut them quickly. Their own website used to attribute facts is more of a gray area, sometimes condoned if it adheres to WP:SELFPUB. Another thing you might look at is boiling the language down to a neutral encyclopedic voice, by removing anything that falls under peacock language. Good luck. Ødipus 17:49, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Excellent. Thank you again so much for your help. I'll do some more work on it to make it more compliant. I meant to add that I did remove your tag and then read that you asked for it not to be removed, but I'm not sure what the tag was exactly. So, I wanted to apologize for removing it and bring it to your attention in case you wanted to put it back. --Jennfinan (talk) 18:26, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Jennfinan
- That's ok. For my part the band passes WP:Notability (music), and if someone with a more strict view on certain issues comes over it, things may happen but working to make it as low-key encyclopedic and neutral as possible can only help. Ødipus 07:20, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
