Assignment 1) Climate Change and Agriculture: My checks of the article showed that the wording was neutral and provided facts in a very non-biased manner. Only one of the links I checked in the references did not lead to a page, but all others led to reputable sources. Much of the statements made in the section "Impact of climate change on agriculture" were not cited. Lots of graphs were used to back claims, and all were properly cited. They did a decent job of including a wide variety of countries when displaying data, showing multi-dimensional data. The article mostly dealt with the negative impacts of climate change on agriculture, and provided a lot of data to support this viewpoint. No supporting evidence against this claim was brought up, so it could be argued that this article could be biased.

Effects of climate change on plant biodiversity: Once again, lots of graphs and charts are used to supplement the claims made in the text, each properly cited. This paper had no glaring reference gaps as the last one did. It appeared to be more citation-dense, as it was a shorter article than the last. The introduction remains biased-free, and later shows how climate change affects plant diversity. It refrains from making any broad conclusions that a paper does, ultimately showing neutrality. Interestingly, I did not find many descriptions of what will happen to plant diversity based on the climate change factors brought up in the article. I like how the article acknowledges that there will be difficulty monitoring future impacts in the study.

Vertical rulers connected to the frame are used to prevent horizontal drift of the pins and to measure the height of vegetation hit by the pins. [1]
