I use wikipedia as a resource, and fix things when I find they are wrong or badly written. However, I don't have the time or inclination to completely rewrite articles. I hope that my contributions improve the wiki, but I can't monitor pages and prevent reversions by wikip-idiots.
My areas of expertise include: physical chemistry and chemical physics, particularly reaction dynamics and laser spectroscopy.
I also enjoy reading and knowing about: drums, bicycles, and the car-free movement.
I earned a PhD in chemical physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I have a Bachelor of Arts (yes, arts) in both chemistry and physics from Colorado College.
Some pages where I have made significant contributions:
- Helium-neon laser (Since my contributions, the true state assignments of lasing transitions have been replaced by antiquated hydrogen-like names for the active neon states.)
- Morse potential
- List of quantum-mechanical systems with analytical solutions (I started this page, after which it was greatly expanded and improved by others.)
Some pages I find useful when writing in the Wikipedia:
