Deus ex machina (Pronounced D'eh-oos ex MAH-kih-na) - A cheap cop out plot device that suddenly comes and saves the story. Often seen in bad science fiction where suddenly, an enemy weakness is found or superweapon is invented. See Deus ex machina.
