C15orf39

[edit]

C15orf39 is a protein which in humans is encoded by the chromosome 15 open reading frame 39, C15orf39, gene.

Gene

[edit]

Location

[edit]

C15orf39 is located on chromosome 15 (15q24.2), spanning 16.53kb starting at 75487985bp and ending at 75504515bp on the plus DNA strand.[1] C15orf39 has three exons, and seven introns.[1][2]

Message

[edit]

Known Isoforms

[edit]

C15orf39 encodes for eight mRNAs, of those, four isoforms code for good proteins. [1]

Protein

[edit]

General Properties

[edit]

C15orf39 is 1,047 amino acids long with a molecular mass of 110.6 kDA.[2][3] C15orf39 is composed of an above average level of proline, and is deficient in isoleucine and asparagine.

Uncharacterized protein C15orf39 is located in the cytosol of the cell.[4]

Protein Interactions

[edit]

C15orf39 has been shown to interact with the protein RPLP1, which is an acidic component of the 60s subunit of a ribosome.[5][6]
