I think wiki sites can be a valuable tool for student collaboration in my science class.  Often we conduct labs where large amounts of data is collected.  The students work in groups of four to conduct the experiments.  Students are required to submit lab reports after the conclusion of the experiment.  I think wiki sites would be a great way for lab groups to collaborate to finalize their lab report.  By doing so, each member is actively analyzing their group members input, therefore processing the content, helping them truly understand the content.
