Climate change myths and facts

[edit]

I'm going to here dedicate time to explore how climate change effects the planet in unique ways. But to be clear this page has 1 goal. What do we know about climate change and what can we do to stop it.

Climate changes promblems

[edit]

One of the promblems we have with climate change that we don't realize is the sheer amount of green house gas that is emited into the amythphere. For starters we have the most familiar one, carbon dioxide but that isn't the only greenhouse gas their is out their. Methane is another could example, because while Methane is much more powerful than carbon dioxide, the effects of Methane go away much more quickly. Another promblem is how cheep and easy it is to get petroleum we is the oil we use. And its not just oil. Theirs also Coal which is another big factor.

Strategies

[edit]

So today I aim to dicsuss what we need to do to solve the promblems we have. One of the promblems is we don't have enough Plants which can photosthisis, a reaction which sucks carbon out of the atmomphere and converts it into oxegeon using sunlight and water. But that's not the sole focus of the promblem.

Another promblem is we don't have enough clean energy or renewable energy which will be a important way to reduce the carbon is in the atmosphere. And another promblem is doing the work to set up the clean energy will require energy which will promblably involve sending carbon into the atomphere. This causes another paradox. And paradoxes are not a good thing here.

How much has the earth warmed

[edit]

On average the earth has warmed 1.1 to 1.3 degrees celcius, too give you an idea, during the ice age the tempature dropped by 4 degrees celcius. So what we have done is a lot. And the amount we are warming the planet is increasing rapidly. The promblem is that means at current rates were going to need more and more energy and according to science that means even with 29% of electricity being generated through a clean source we still have 81% to reduce. Of course we might need to reduce our output to 0% immeadietly. Even reducing it 60% would give us breathing room.

But in the long term we do want to reduce our carbon emessions to almost nothing, and if we do emit carbon we need some way to stop it from leaking back out into the amphere, otherwise its going to keep getting warmer.

Can we fix the promblem

[edit]

Yes I do think its possible. I mean humans have done a lot of crazy projects in the past. We can do it again. However in the past the motivation was a a benifit for us. Now we have a long term problem and that kind of promblem isn't quite as motivating. Here's my logic. If we continue on this path were headed in a good direction in a few decades we will have a huge promblem that could make earth almost unlivable.

The question is what do we want to do about this promblem. It's not an easy one to fix. But we can fix it. It won't be easy. It will be very difficult. But with a lot of effort it will be possible. And that really all we need.
