Academy for Innovative Education Charter School (formerly Academy for International Education Charter School or AIE Charter) is a charter school located in Miami Springs, Florida. Nickname and mascot for this school is Aviators. Both Elementary and Middle/High School received an "A" by the Florida Department of Education.[1]
History
[edit]Academy for Innovative Education Charter School first opened in the fall of 2011 and started as a K-3 school. Every year Academy for Innovative Education Charter School added grades until the 2022-2023 school year where it added 12th grade and its first graduating class. The main focus of this school is Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics. (STEAM).
Students from all over Miami-Dade County attend this school. Cities like Hialeah, Miami, Miami Springs, Brownsville, and Allapattah.
It's mostly a STEAM school. It also offers rigorous course classes like honors, dual enrollment with FIU, AP Capstone Program, and ESOL.[2]
