Desalsar Purohitan

Desalsar Purohitan is a village located in Nokha,Bikaner .^[1]

It is dominated by Rajpurohit(Sevad) Caste, thus named before them. Desalsar enjoys a very hot temperature throughout year.

History of Desalsar

Desalsar was given as a jagiri to Harnath Singh Rajpurohit by the king of Bikaner State. According to the villagers, Harnathji used to keep many horses with him, and one day, the Raja of Bikaner noticed a very descent and good looking horse with him and asked him to gift it to him. By hearing it, Harnathji rapidly gifted it to the Raja. By seeing his obedience, patriotism, and remembering his father deeds, he gifted him a huge mass of land and made him his chief advisor and his son Jagram Singh ^[2]was made the '''Senapati''' . And during the war of gangwana, Jagram Singh was martyred defending the kingdom of Bikaner. Seeing his Bravery, Raja Zorawar Singh of Bikaner gave a jagiri of Rasisar to his father-Harnath Ji. Therefore both Rasisar and Desalsar shares a common ancestry line, and worship Jagram Singh Rajpurohit.

A jaagran ceremony occurs annually every year by the descendant of both villages^[3]

It belongs to Bikaner Division^[4] . It is located 44 KM towards South from District head quarters Bikaner. 18 KM from Nokha Gaon. 302 KM from State capital Jaipur
