Hope for Vision (HFV for short) is a non-profit organization aimed to raise awareness for blindness diseases and also help fund research to cure blindness.
History
[edit]Hope for Vision was founded by Betti Lidsky, who had founded the organization after two of her children were diagnosed with a genetic blindness disorder. The organization now relies on the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine to help find a cure for blindness and other eye related diseases[2]. Throughout many years, HFV has raised money through walk-a-thons, galas, parties and conventions[3]. In June, 2016, Chairman and President of HFV, Isaac Lidsky spoke at a TED Talk summit called "What reality are you creating for yourself" where he spoke about his illness and blindness[4].
