Emily Fanous Azar (Born in Ramleh in 1949) studied at the Avni Institute of Art and Design between 1969 and 1972. In 1972 she participated in the groundbreaking "Seven Arab Artists" exhibition with other Palestinian pioneers including Walid Abu Shakra, Rihab Al Nammari and Sliman Mansour.
