About Myself

Born in Pittsburgh, lived in China after six months there, then moved back to Pittsburgh and remained there the whole time. I do visit China from time to time, though. I have only known my mom's family in Shizuishan. My dad's family is in Nanchang, too hot and humid there.

Hockey

I am a big hockey fan. My interest in hockey started back in 2011. I follow the National Hockey League, Kontinental Hockey League, and the Elite Ice Hockey League. My favorite teams are my hometown Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Kunlun Red Star, and the Sheffield Steelers.

NHL

You think being a Penguins fan, I would hate the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals, but that's not the case. They're big rivals with the Pens, but I don't hate them. Most of my hate goes towards the Columbus Blue Jackets. It's not John Tortorella, I promise you that. There's a growing rivalry with the Pens and Blue Jackets.

As for the Sharks, yes, I feel bad for 2016, but someone had to win the Cup. Praise Simek.

As for the Canucks, I don't know why. Maybe because of Petterson and Boeser, but that's just me.

KHL

Kunlun Red Star is a Chinese team, so I feel obligated to support them. The team made the playoffs in their first year but got bounced by defending champions Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2017. Mozyakin, you are a legend. Metallurg got two Gagarin Cups, pretty good if you ask me.

Not a favorite hockey team of mine, but lest we forget September 7, 2011. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl lost their entire team on this date.

Sheffield Steelers

It's weird that I'm a fan of a British hockey team that shares the same name as my hometown handegg team.

Music

My music tastes have changed a lot. I first listened to pop for a long time, then I switched to EDM in 2015. Now, I might have been immersed into the world of metal and rock music. The first metal band I ever listened to is Slipknot, then I got into System of a Down, and now my favorite metal band is Trivium. I say favorite "metal" band because my favorite band of all time is Pendulum. They are one of a few to infuse electronic music and rock it out in several of their songs, notably from their second album "In Silico".

Games

Not a gamer, but I do have a couple of games in my arsenal.

Creeper World

I don't remember when I first played this game, but it was the first game I was ever addicted to. It's weird that I knew blue creeper before the exploding Creepers from Minecraft, but that's how my gaming tastes evolved. It's a simple game, place collectors and reactors to gain energy, and blast Creeper with blasters and mortars. I have only played the first and second installment of the series, but it's enough. For now.

Gemcraft

Magical gems that blast monsters, yeet. Has an unkillable antagonist becuase dumb wizards with their rituals. Seal them in a gem that is corrupted if The Forgotten escapes, so that's great, never seen that happen.

Minecraft

Lots of games with "craft" in their names, but Minecraft is the king of them. I actually started watching the game before playing it in some capacity. I've seen the rise, the downfall in 2015, and the revival in 2018. I could list all the YouTubers that made an impact in the game, but then this page could last a couple of pages.

Mobile Games

Let's be honest, these are just time killers, they really add no value, but whatever.
