To the Poor of Africa, Where are you going? (Book in .pdf format) XX Huguenot
To the Poor of Africa, Where are you going? Published under the pseudonym XX Huguenot. Was originally published during the latter part of 2010 for purchase and download from the website http://www.poorofafrica.com/ At the time this was a unusual publication method fo a new non-fiction book. There are a few unusual elements to this method of book publication namely;
It's initial version is for sale only on the internet as a downloadable .pdf file. Readers can download the introduction and the first Chapter Free off the book's website: http://www.poorofafrica.com/ If after reading this they wish to purchase a .pdf file version of this book, it can be done off the same website.
Due to the contentious nature of the subject matter, readers are invited to submit factually justified comments and suggested edits towards improving the book before final publication.
The key reasons for this unique publication process is that the author wants pioneer readers to be able to do two things; Firstly, to quickly and easily verify that the facts quoted in this book are applied properly. To make sure that he had not bent the facts to suit his ideas but had rather built ideas on the facts. Towards this, most of the multitude of references (350+) are linked to internet accessable information sources such as Wikipedia that readers with the .pdf file of the book open on their computers can access by simply holding down the control button, placing the cursor on the reference and clicking the mouse of their computers. If they are connected to the internet at the time, the base information will come up onscreen. This will afford them the opportunity to check the facts quoted. Secondly, the author said that “many superficial readers may initially want to accuse me of racist thinking and I would like to afford them the opportunity to show me the error in my thoughts, and provide me with with facts to back up their comments. Constructive comments, even if they destroy my thesis, and their factual refences will then be incorporated in the final version of the book that will be published conventionally”.
The book also creates a new justifiucation for quoting Wikipedia as an information source describing the Wikipedia editing process as Conflict Editing. That results in descriptions that reflects all realistic points of view until such time as final factual information overrides philosophical considerations.
Discussion
[edit]The Author of : “The Poor of Africa, where are you going?” Seeks an answer to the following key questions, Why is Africa so impoverished? and What Can be done to improve matters?
To Achieve this:
1.It reviews the present economic status of Sub Sahara Africa.
2.It identifies the exceptional economies in this part of Africa.
3.From the World Economic Forum's Global Competitive index it analyses the competitiveness of those SSA economies that are advanced enough to rate in this index.
4.The same exceptionals again feature. Reasons for this exceptional performance are proposed.
5.The book then reviews the impact of the Cold War between East and West on newly-independent Africa
6.and the role of this impact in SSA's slow development since independence.
7.It formulates a revolutionary theoretical concept to integrate and explain all the above issues
7.1.Modern ethics require that we accept and live by the following phrase. One of Jefferson's key contributions to the Constitution of the United States of America, [hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,”] is universally valid. (In the 21st century politically correct nomenclature “men” should perhaps be displaced with desexed words such as “humans” or “people” etc.) If one further accepts that economic, democratic, plus a wide range of other descriptors, in conjunction with the word “development” are creations of humans within their societies, then. Why do we find that if one Googles the words “poverty”, “poor economic development”, “undemocratic” etc. in conjunction with “Africa” a vast casm of human failures, to develop or create a better life for all, open up before your eyes on your computer? One can also review Moletsi Mbeki's book “Architects of Poverty” and Dr Greg Mills' new book, “Why Africa is Poor” in this regard.
7.2.In view of the people of Sub Sahara Africa's failure on so many fronts to create a reasonably good standard of life for it's citizens. One has to conclude that although , “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,” the creations of all humans are not equal.
7.3.The Bi-Ecology Theory of Human Development sets out to propose a theory, within the realities of historical and scientific fact, that can be used to explain all the above failures of Sub Sahara Africa.
7.3.1.That all humans operate within a portfolio of gene and / or meme acquired cultural drivers that predisposes them to instinctively respond in defined patterns to a given stimulus.
7.3.2.That there are two fundamental predispositional groups, the NH or Northern Hemisphere Group and the AA or African Aboriginal group.
7.3.3.That these groupings arose when a number of Africans left Africa about 60 000 years ago, largely, not to return before the advent of recorded history and a number of Africans remained largely in Africa during this time. (Ex Mitochondrial DNA, and Y Chromosome research ; Mitochondrial Eve)
7.3.4.That these predispositional groups are the result of the substantially different ecologies that created different evolutionary environments prevalent over the last 60,000 years before the 1650's in the two areas where they lived.
7.3.5.That these acquired predispositions are largely responsible for the successes and failures discussed in the initial chapters of the book “To the Poor of Africa, Where are you Going?”
7.3.6.That humans acquire these predispositions from a combination of genetic inheritance from their parents and or from memes presented to them by their caregivers and learnt by them.
7.3.7.That humans can learn to limit the negative impact of these instinctive predispositions on their behaviour by means of acquiring awareness of their limitations and focussed or concentrated effort aimed at acquiring corrective memes and using them.
7.3.8.That due to the present day, global easy survival environment, many people of NH background are developing AA predispositions.
8.The potential validity of this thesis is then reviewed against
9.historical facts and a variety of modern scientifically valid analyses of the journey of mankind over the last 60 000 years.
10.None of these facts destroy the thesis.
11.In fact they support this thesis.
12.The book then applies the theory to the present Sub Sahara African situation.
13.All of a sudden many of those decisions by African politicians, that often confounds non-Africans and westerners, become understandable to western minds
14.and it becomes possible to predict how these African politicians are likely to respond to future stimuli.
15.From this a portfolio of research projects to prove or destroy the thesis of the book is developed.
16.Some preliminary “Desk Top Research” data from international information sources already available are analysed and none confound the theory,
17.all support it.
18.Finally, a number of basic, practical developmental actions are derived and proposed that should, if properly applied, help Sub Sahara Africans become equal partners in the modern Globalised Economic world.
At first sight this theory goes against the grain and one is tempted to simply write it off as the "Rantings of another Racist". However, when one considers the underlying Scientific and Economic Facts presented in the book and you review the preliminary research results, things become thought provoking and there seems to be an opportunity for it being valid. Then, when you realise that the aim of this thesis is not to degrade Africans but to help Africans to grow from impoverished charity basket cases to become “world Class” equal partners in our presentday Global Economic world, the book becomes potentially constructive.

Goto Google Images, "Google Sub Sahara Africa maps" review some of the sites, almost without exception SSA fares poorly
