[edit] Season 1 [edit] Mystery Meat [edit] Parental Bonding [edit] One Of A Kind [edit] Attack of the Killer Garage Sale [edit] Splitting Images After a series of humiliating run-ins with Dash, the school bully, Danny uses his powers to get revenge and triggers the ghost of Poindexter, a kid who was shoved in his locker so many times, he haunts it to this day. Danny must battle this ghostly defender of nerds and geeks, while proving he's not the bully Poindexter thinks he is.
[edit] What You Want When wish-granting ghost Desiree gives Tucker ghost powers, Danny finds himself dealing with his friend's jealousy in the worst way possible: by having to fight him.
In one scene, Danny is playing a "Crash Nebula" arcade game. Crash Nebula is a TV hero (unlike The Crimson Chin, who is a comic book hero) in Nickelodeon's The Fairly OddParents which is also created by Butch Hartman, the producer of Danny Phantom. [edit] Bitter Reunions Danny meets his evil opposite in Vlad Plasmius, a childhood friend of his ghost hunting dad, Jack. Unfortunately, Vlad acquired ghostly powers twenty years ago, which means he's stronger and more experienced than Danny -- and bent on taking everything away from Jack Fenton as revenge for ruining him -- including his life.
[edit] Prisoners of Love Danny fears he's going to cause his parents' break-up when he knocks Jack's anniversary gift into the Ghost Zone. Desperate to retrieve it, he dives into a ghostly dimension where he runs afoul of Walker, the ghost warden of a ghost jail, and is thrown into prison with every ghost he's ever caught.
[edit] My Brother's Keeper Noticing a change in little bro Danny since the accident in the lab, Jazz mistakes his ghost hunting for depression and signs him up for therapy with Penelope Spectra, not knowing that Spectra is a ghost who feeds off teen misery!
[edit] Shades of Gray When ghosts wreck a popular co-ed Valerie's school social life, she dedicates herself to hunting them, which forces Danny to deal with a threat just a few lockers down the hall. Worse yet, Tucker has a crush on her.
[edit] Fanning the Flames Danny and Sam find their platonic friendship turned forcibly romantic through the musical powers of Ember, a hard-rocking girl ghost who feeds off the idol worship of teens. With her massive, free concert scheduled only a few days away -- a concert that will be broadcast worldwide and give her ultimate power, Sam has to get the now completely and utterly love-addled Danny to focus on fighting ghosts. Even if it means breaking his heart.
[edit] Teacher of the Year Living dual lives as a high school freshman and a super hero is a balancing act for Danny that just got even tougher, with both Lancer and his parents pressuring him to ace a test. At the same time, Technus, ghost master of technology, has escaped into Danny's online game and threatens to flee into the Internet and take over every computer in the world!
The name of the game, Doomed, is a reference to an old computer shooting game series, Doom. It is possible that Level 0 is a reference to Minus World from Super Mario Bros. [edit] "13" When Jazz falls for hunky boy ghost, Johnny 13, who can cast his Shadow out and create bad luck for everyone who crosses him -- especially the girls he's dating, Danny is forced to behave like an overprotective parent, much to Jazz's dismay. Furthermore, Danny must beat Johnny back into the Ghost Zone before Jazz accepts his offer to go steady, or else!
[edit] Public Enemies Amity Park is thrown into chaos by the town's first mass invasion of ghosts. It's all part of a plan by the Ghost Zone's top Sheriff, Walker, to capture Danny Phantom. As Danny first battles, then befriends, a hulking ghost named Wulf, Walker and his deputies "overshadow" most of the people in Danny's inner circle. While eluding attacks from his ghost fighting parents, Danny defeats Walker and restores calm in the city -- but earns the title of "Public Ghost Enemy #1" in the process!
[edit] Fright Knight In an attempt to beat Dash in a haunted house decorating contest, Danny "borrows" the enchanted sword of the Spirit of Halloween, the Fright Knight! When the evil, ghostly knight comes to retrieve his magic saber, he decides to stick around long enough to turn the real world into his own stormy realm of terror. Danny Phantom has other ideas, however, and tries to banish the Fright Knight back to the Ghost Zone.
[edit] Maternal Instinct Maddie relishes the chance to bond with emotionally distant Danny at a weekend mother/son science seminar. However, the seminar is a ruse orchestrated by Vlad Masters -- a.k.a. Vlad Plasmius, Danny's archenemy! Vlad's plan is to convince Maddie and Danny to live with him while simultaneously destroying Jack with a massive ghost attack. When Vlad short-circuits Danny's powers, Danny gets to witness Maddie's impressive ghost fighting prowess. Meanwhile, a reluctant Jazz is pressed into ghost-fighting duty with Jack -- and likes it, in spite of herself!
The invitation that Vlad sends to Maddie reveals that her full name is Madeline. When Maddie leaves the room, you see Vlad reading "Romance for Rich, Creepy Dimwits". Judging by colors and name, it's an obvious reference to the "For Dummies" line of books. [edit] Lucky in Love When Paulina witnesses Danny's ghost transformation, he fears the exposure. Imagine his surprise when Paulina swears to keep his secret -- then becomes his girlfriend! Life is great for Danny, until he finds out that Paulina has actually been overshadowed by Johnny 13's girlfriend, Kitty, in her plot to make Johnny jealous. Danny reluctantly plays along to protect his own identity, but, when Kitty's welcome wears thin, Danny pleads with Johnny 13 to take her back. When Kitty abandons Paulina's body and goes back to her true love, Paulina resumes her indifference towards Danny Fenton -- although she's now madly in love with Danny Phantom!
[edit] Life Lessons Danny and Valerie Gray are forced to become "parents" to a sack of flour for a one-week school assignment. At the same time, Skulker, ghost hunter extraordinaire, decides to pit Valerie and Danny Phantom against each other in a contest -- with the winner earning the privilege of becoming his prey. When Skulker's orchestrated contest ends in a tie, he handcuffs Danny and Valerie and hunts them both through the Ghost Zone. In order to survive, Danny and Valerie learn to let go of their mutual dislike and cooperate with each other -- which may just affect their relationship in the real world. Or, not.
[edit] The Million-Dollar Ghost When Vlad Masters' ghost portal explodes, he schemes to replace it by stealing Jack Fenton's portal. As a distraction, Vlad anonymously offers a million dollar bounty to eliminate Danny Phantom. As ghost hunters from around the world gather in Amity Park to hunt the ghost kid, Danny sacrifices himself to Jack -- both to win the prize money for Dad and to bolster Jack's inept reputation, which embarrasses Danny. However, when his family's life is put in jeopardy, Jack needs no help from Danny to save the day on his own.
[edit] Control Freaks Sam rebels when her overprotective parents forbid her from attending the strange Goth circus that's come to town. Little does she know that the circus performers are ghosts, under the mystical control of the creepy ringmaster named Freakshow, who also uses the ghosts to loot the town. When Danny falls under Freakshow's spell and joins the circus -- and the robbery spree -- Sam must operate under the radar to destroy Freakshow's magic crystal ball, free Danny and get grounded, big-time.
[edit] Season 2 [edit] Memory Blank Danny and Sam get into a fight, and when Sam utters the words, "I sometimes wish I’d never met you," she finds herself in a world in which she and Danny are strangers. Worse than that, since it was Sam who encouraged Danny to check out the Fenton Portal the night he got his ghost powers, Danny doesn’t have any powers! Now, Sam must convince Danny that they share a friendship and a history, and lead him back to the Fenton Portal for a second "accident" so he can again become Danny Phantom.
[edit] Doctor's Disorders After being bitten by tiny green ghost mosquitoes, the kids of Casper High get a mysterious illness that gives them ghost powers and are quarantined at a spooky old hospital outside of town. When Danny sneaks into the hospital to investigate, he is captured by Penelope Spectra and her assistant, Bertrand. They are the ones who started this illness as part of their plan to build Penelope a young and beautiful new body. All she needs is Danny's half-human/half-ghost DNA to complete her ghostly plan. With Danny captured and Sam sick, it's up to Tucker to conquer his fear of hospitals and free Danny before Penelope gets what she's after.
There is an interesting if not controversial scene in this episode when Danny follows the sound of a scream to find it was Sam, in the same hospital room as Paulina, who says, "You'd scream, too, if you were a stuck in a sleepover with her," and Danny responds, "Actually, I kinda doubt that." From this episode forward, Danny is shown wearing his "D" emblem on his outfit that Sam added to it in "Memory Blank." [edit] Pirate Radio A group of ghostly skeletons under the command of a bratty 10-year-old pirate named Youngblood attacks FentonWorks and steals the ghost shield. Soon after, all the adults in Amity Park are packing for a cruise without their kids. Danny, Sam, and Tucker discover that the cruise is a hoax and the adults are under the spell of a mysterious (and cheesy) song created by Ember to make them into galley slaves for Youngblood's pirate ship! The stolen ghost shield prevents Danny Phantom from getting on board the ship, so Danny Fenton has to lead Amity Park's teenagers in a daring attempt to save their parents.
At the end of this episode, we see Youngblood and the rest of his pirate crew stuck on the pirate ship with the ghost shield surrounding them. This is not Youngblood's final appearance, he seems to have escaped and appeared as the main villain in Episode 27, which is titled, "The Fenton Menace." Before the end of the episode, Ember flees the ship before being defeated or being sucked into the Fenton Thermos. This is an obvious sign she will be back. [edit] Identity Crisis Technus is back! But this is a new and improved Technus, a smoother operator who refuses to shout out his plans. Danny's not worried, especially after he splits himself in two and decides to leave the ghost hunting to his super hero side and allow his teen self some time off to just be "normal." Unfortunately, Danny Phantom, super hero, begins to take his job too seriously and Danny Fenton, average teenager, starts to enjoy slacking off way too much. Meanwhile, Technus electronically infiltrates the Fenton RV -- and, then, all of FentonWorks -- siphoning off the energy to complete his upgrade. It's up to the two Dannys to work together and defeat Technus 2.0 before he drains all the power from Amity Park, and then the world!
This marks Technus's first reappearance since Teacher of the Year. This is also the first episode in which Technus appears as "Technus 2.0". According to the series timeline, this episode takes place before Reign Storm. [edit] TV Movie: Reign Storm Main article: Reign Storm [edit] The Fenton Menace Danny Fenton is losing his mind! At least, that's what Jazz decides when her little brother starts acting strangely and fighting ghosts that aren't there. In reality, Danny is being tormented by a revenge-seeking Youngblood, who cannot be seen by adults -- or by big sisters who think they're adults. When Jazz sells the family on a ghost-tech-free camping trip, Youngblood follows and unleashes a series of juvenile attacks that make Danny seem even crazier, and put the Fenton family in danger.
Chronologically, this episode takes place before The Ultimate Enemy. The title is a play off of the film title Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This is the first time we see Jack Fenton without his jumpsuit on. [edit] TV Movie: The Ultimate Enemy Main article: The Ultimate Enemy [edit] The Fright Before Christmas Danny Fenton hates Christmas. When he accidentally destroys the only copy of a ghostly Christmas story, the book's author, Ghost Writer, makes Danny hate the holiday even more by turning him into the main character of a brand new Yuletide tale. Danny is now trapped in a scenario where everyone talks in rhyme! With his magical Quantum Keyboard, Ghost Writer creates a series of catastrophes that threaten to ruin Christmas for all of Amity Park and pins the blame on Danny. When Danny goes into the Ghost Zone to confront Ghost Writer, he is surprised to find his old ghostly enemies in a giving mood. Danny enlists them to help him defeat Ghost Writer and restore the spirit of Christmas to Amity Park and, perhaps, to his own heart.
In this episode, we learn Ghost Writer's weakness: the word "orange", simply because nothing rhymes with the word "orange".Doorhinge does, but it wouldn't make sense. The book Jazz is reading is called So My Brother Ruined Christmas, a rather ironic title considering what Danny was forced to go through at the time. [edit] Secret Weapons Skulker's on a looting spree, snatching up a number of seemingly unrelated items. Unfortunately, Danny's attempts to stop him are thwarted by the well-intentioned meddling of Danny's new sidekick: Jazz. However, Danny didn't ask for -- and doesn't want -- Jazz's help, and after a series of humiliating mishaps, Danny blows up at his sister. In response, Jazz runs away from home... to Vlad's castle in Wisconsin! But it's only a ruse. Jazz soon manages to break into Vlad's inner sanctum and discovers that he has been using Skulker to collect the items necessary to upgrade the Fenton's stolen Ecto-Skeleton. When Danny arrives at the castle, Vlad makes Jazz don the improved battle suit in a no-holds-barred fight against Danny Phantom!
[edit] Flirting With Disaster Technus is back, with a new plan to beam himself up to a super satellite and take over the world, and he’s going to use Axion Labs to do it. As Danny Phantom battles Technus, Danny Fenton begins battling his feelings for Valerie, whose dad is back in charge at Axion. Sam and Tucker are surprised when Danny confesses he’s thinking of asking Valerie to go steady. Unfortunately, as Technus puts his plan into action at Axion Labs, Valerie realizes her role as ghost hunter is putting her family and friends in danger. Can romance work between two kids with secret identities, or will the ghost boy and the ghost hunter end up breaking each others’ hearts?
[edit] Micro-Management Although Danny Phantom can perform extraordinary physical feats, Danny Fenton is still something of a weakling. For this reason, Dash is assigned as Danny’s “fitness buddy” to help him prepare for the Presidential Fitness Test at school. When Skulker appears at FentonWorks on his usual hunt, Danny Phantom, Dash, and Skulker are accidentally hit with Jack’s new “Fenton Crammer,” which shrinks them all to a half-inch tall! Worse yet, Danny’s ghost powers don’t work so well in his tiny form. Now, Danny and Dash must rely on each other’s brains and natural physical abilities to get to the FentonWorks Emergency Op-Center and reverse the shrink ray before Skulker and his brand new fully-powered ecto-skeleton catches up to them.
[edit] Beauty Marked Sam can barely contain her contempt for the “Miss Teenage Happy Princess” beauty pageant and its organizer, Dora Mattingly, when they descend on Casper High. She decides to enter the contest to make a statement about individuality, but makes a discovery instead: Dora Mattingly is the Dragon Ghost! Before she can get to the bottom of the mystery, she’s inadvertently crowned Miss Teenage Happy Princess by its happy-go-lucky judge... Danny Fenton! When the tiara is placed on Sam’s head, it magically transports her to a castle in the Ghost Zone, where she learns she’s to be the bride of Dora’s brother, the ghostly Prince Aragon. As Danny and Tucker head into the Ghost Zone to rescue Sam, she does her best to shake things up in the medieval ghost world she’s stuck in.
This episode references to Teacher of the Year, when Tucker yells "You can't beat Friar Tuck!" Friar Tuck was his screenname in "Doomed" There are two references to "Parental Bonding," in this episode. Number one, the main villain was actually credited as the Dragon Ghost, however, we find out that she is the Dragon Ghost, when Danny says at the beginning of the episode, "If that dragon suit is her idea of a costume, I'm on Mommy's side." The second reference is in the second half of the episode when Sam sends Tucker and Danny the dragon information. This episode actually has a reference to Prince Aragon, when Danny reads the information about the Cursed Amulet of Aragon. We obviously know, however, that Prince Aragon does not make his first real appearance until this episode. In "Parental Bonding," Kevin Michael Richardson provided the voice to the Dragon Ghost. However, in this episode, Susan Blakeslee does the voice. She is perhaps most known for her role as Wanda in "Fairly Oddparents." Sam's belch in this episode is out of sync, and is heard a second before her mouth actually opens. [edit] King Tuck Tucker’s running for student body president, but no one’s paying his campaign any notice, and that includes his campaign managers: Danny and Sam. On a field trip to a museum to look at ancient Egyptian artifacts, everyone is surprised that the pharaoh in question looks just like Tucker. And when Tucker looks in a ghostly mirror, his image brings the pharaoh’s minion, Hotep Ra, to life! Hotep Ra bows before Tucker and becomes his servant, urging him to not stand by anymore and be ignored. Tucker’s new attitude -- with help from his new king’s scepter -- gets him even more respect than he expected when he accidentally transports his friends and classmates to ancient Egypt during a school debate. Now, Tucker is a king, and it’s hard not to enjoy the perks. Unfortunately, the servant Hotep Ra has his eye on Tucker’s throne and some sinister plans in mind for the students of Casper High.
[edit] Masters of all Time Vlad is back, only now he’s afflicted with a serious case of ecto-acne, a direct result of the college lab accident with Jack and Maddie. To ensure Danny helps him find a cure, Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with his disease, and Danny turns to Clockwork for help. Danny convinces Clockwork to let him go back in time to make sure the accident that injures Vlad never happens. Unfortunately, when he changes the past, he changes the present. When he arrives back in the present day, Maddie is married to Vlad and living in Wisconsin, and Jack’s a ghost named Jack Plasmius! Now, Danny must go back in time for a second time to ensure his parents get together, but when he does, will that mean ecto-acne doom for Tucker and Sam?
As soon as Danny emerges into the past, music very similar to Beverly Hills Cop's Axel F begins to play. [edit] Double Cross my Heart Sam’s got a new crush: Gregor, a goth transfer student from Europe. And Danny’s jealous, although he won’t admit it. Instead, he convinces himself that Gregor is an undercover operative for the Guys in White, out to get Danny Phantom. When Sam finds out Danny has been spying on her, she’s furious, but Danny’s suspicion grows when the Guys in White show up in Amity Park. The mystery deepens as Tucker tries to help Danny uncover Gregor’s intentions. Is Danny right? Is Sam truly in danger from Gregor and the Guys in White, or is Danny just jealous of Sam and Gregor’s growing romance?
The book store that Sam and Gregor visits has a copy of A Match Made in Space by George McFly, the very same book that Marty's dad wrote in Back to the Future. In the Amity Park Mall, the store that the Guys in White exit is named Sophia's, a reference to Butch Hartman's daughter. This episode was originally supposed to air after "Reality Trip." The scedule was changed due to the beginning of summer, which will now be marked with the end-of-school special Reality Trip. [edit] Kindred Spirits Vlad’s up to something and it involves Danny. After he sends three ghosts to Amity Park to battle Danny Phantom, it is revealed that he’s working on his creepiest project yet: a clone of Danny Phantom. So far, the clones he creates can’t sustain their forms for very long, but Vlad is determined to succeed. Danny doesn’t have long to worry about Vlad’s ghostly visitors, however, because he’s distracted by the appearance of Danielle, a cousin he didn’t know he had. And then, Danielle reveals that she too has ghost powers -- she’s Dani Phantom! Unfortunately, she’s also a product of Vlad’s experiments, and therefore an imperfect ghost with an unstable form. Danny must convince his new “relative” to turn on her creator and help him destroy Vlad’s evil experiment, before it’s too late for both ghost kids.
On Danny's bedroom wall, you can see various space shuttle posters, such as a certificate of completion for a Junior Astronaut course, as well as shuttle blueprints (one of them named "Explorer Hartman" referencing the show's creator, Butch Hartman). This episode was originally supposed to air after "Reality Trip" and "Double Cross My Heart." The schedule was changed due to the beginning of summer, which will now be marked with the end-of-school special Reality Trip. [edit] TV Movie: Reality Trip School's out and Danny has nothing on his mind except a relaxing, fun and a ghost-free summer vacation. His dream is quickly destroyed when Freakshow, the villainous ringmaster with ghostly minions, escapes from jail. Danny, caught off guard, is forced to forfeit his summer plans when Freakshow manages to reveal Danny's secret identity to the entire world! To make matters worse, Freakshow kidnaps Danny, Sam and Tucker's families and uses them as pawns in this evil game of revenge. Now, on the run and hiding from everyone, Danny must rely on his powers to stay free, fulfill Freakshow's ransom demands and save his parents. With Tucker and Sam by his side, Danny travels cross-country to track down three "Reality Gems," which, when combined, will give Freakshow the power to turn Danny's world into his very own nightmare circus! As the sun sets in the west, Danny's enemies close in on him and Freakshow forces the hands of time closer to the fate of DOOM.
The Fenton Ops Center once again takes to the air, this time as a high-tech jet, complete with an inflatable auto-pilot Jack, (spoof of the Airplane! movie). This is the first time you see Jack Fenton shirtless, and the second time without his jumpsuit. Near the end of the episode, Danny uses the Reality Gauntlet to erase the Guys in White's memories, obviously parodying Men in Black. The scene also parodies Star Wars, changing the line "These aren't the droids you're looking for." to "he's not the ghost you're looking for." The series timeline places Reality Trip before Double Cross my Heart and Kindred Spirits, but it was shown after those episodes to coincide with the beginning of summer. It would actually make more sense to make this the season finale, since the episode also takes place at the beginning of summer. Also, near the end of the episode, the scene when Danny talks Freakshow into using the Reality Gauntlet to turn into a ghost so that Danny can capture him in the Fenton Thermos makes a reference to the scene near the end of the Disney movie Aladdin, when the main title character does the same thing to Jafar in order to defeat him. [edit] Season 3 [edit] TV Movie: Urban Jungle An evil eco-ghost is turning Amity Park into a literal "urban jungle" and Danny must learn a new freezing power to defeat this villain.
A pair of video games based on this movie will be released for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Danny_Phantom_episodes" --XJ-6 03:10, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
