Stats in infoboxes

[edit]

Hi, when you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. This shows when the stats were last updated and prevents editors from accidentally updating the stats again. The date in career stats section must be updated manually. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Andrew Wolverton

[edit]

The article Andrew Wolverton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails both WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello there WSH, from Portugal,

I sincerely apologize for having reverted you in this player's article, I only read the Chelsea bid stuff and stupidly did not read the rest, where he actually signed a new contract with Roma. And since Chelsea actually made several offers for him in order to acquire his services, I guess you were correct the first time in mentioning them. I'll go and make the pertinent adjustments.

Sorry for any inconvenience, happy editing --Be Quiet AL (talk) 23:14, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

Transfermarkt

[edit]

Since most of its content is user-generated, Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles, as you did with Mechac Koffi, among others. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:41, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Loans

[edit]

Because it was rather uneventful, and he went back to Real Madrid afterwards. It is best not to have too many short sub-headings of "loan to.." "return to...". Notice as well that he had three loans when he was at Benfica, but they do not have their own sections.

Some players do deserve a section for their loans, as a Chelsea fan I am sure you can recall that Alex had three seasons at PSV, when they were the dominant team, and Crespo took Milan to the Champions League final on his loan. '''tAD''' (talk) 16:36, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

OK you can put it back how you had it. '''tAD''' (talk) 17:14, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
