I had a brainstorm today. The nations of the world should adopt a global holday called World Pride Day, to celebrate our common human needs and to focus on that which unites us. International ambassadors in sister cities across the world would help each other plan festivals of music, dance, art, peace, and other lofty ideas like preservation of a healthy environment.
