World of Elak
[edit]Tribes
[edit]Eldoriah: One of the three founding tribes. This tribes represented color is a light-red. While not much is known or spoken of the people of Eldoriah; they reside peacefully among a small isle that is surrounded by a lake. Alongside them is their ally Tribe Cherenos. The Eldorians were the first to honor a ancient deity known as Elak- upon their arrival to the new lands. Avoiding acting in a violent manner; they have mostly remained neutral with all tribes they have come into communication with, spreading the beliefs and knowledge of this world. Although wars have declared, and sides have been picked; The lands of Eldoriah remained a peaceful place to stay. Despite remaining a smaller claim, they have begun to branch out and construct walls around their home.
Yimir: One of the three founding tribes. This tribes represented color is dark-blue. In the early ages they had witnessed rapid growth, despite being farther away from other notable tribes that existed. Bringing with them a new way of architecture and culture; as well as a deity they had chosen to honor. Amongst their prosperous time in these lands, they discovered (and cultivated) ancient cities beneath the ground, resulting in a new way of life and set of beliefs. A message was whispered to other nations from the Tribe of Yimir; saying to come witness the birth of it all- where the lava meets water. It is said that they believed this is what formed our world.
Body of Ichor: One of the three founding tribes. This tribes represented color is olive-green. Although this tribe ultimately crumbled due to excessive expansion from those all around them within in the early ages; they sought after a better world- where all were seen and noticed as one. Though not much historical evidence has been saved from this tribe; it is known that they were one of the first peoples to discover and settle within the dimension known as 'the end'. Their tribes religious beliefs forever remain unknown due to the loss of their people.
Cherenos: Their story began shortly after their leader was banished from the Body of Ichor. This tribes represented color is fire-orange. Before their creation in the early years they were given help from Eldoriah; a place to stay after being banished from the people of Ichor. While rebuilding and gaining strength within allies, their people slowly became a recognized tribe and declared war on their former people- contributing to the ultimate demise of The Body Of Ichor. Not much is known about this mysterious nation aside from whispers. It is spoken that they brought with them the belief in a new god. Their people believe that he watches over them in this unbeknownst world and protects all that honor his name.
The Commonwealth of the Highlands: After the 'Cherenos Conflict' The Body Of Ichor had disbanded their southern lands, opening up new opportunities for the people of the Highlands. Offering food, shelter and safety for those that help them protect their new and prosperous nation from local raiders or bandits. Despite not having a long history, it is thought that their flag had shown 2 goats on the bottom banner with a crowned cross in the middle. Not much is known about what happened to these people, but their history is mostly forgotten as of today. The town of Elak has been searching for more fragments to explain the disappearance of this nation.
Inferni: This tribe was introduced very shortly before the New Era; when cartography had reached a pivotal point in helping to map our lands more effectively. In their short, but growing time here- they have created wonders of the world that exceed the visions of all prior. With their arrival they have brought forth new ideas, spiritual beliefs and architecture. Known to be some of the most efficient builders you can find, they have attracted people of all tribes to travel over to witness their creation; Infernis Wall of Strength. Some tribes rumor that it reaches so tall into the sky you can nearly hear the whispers of angels.
Elysium: One of the newer tribes; created during the 3rd year of the N.E. This tribes represented color is white/light-gray. Residing in an ocean near Inferni, they have constructed mass towers made of delicate material. Despite not many baring sight to this structure, it is safe to say that their way of building had gone previously unwitnessed. Although they have not carved their story into the worlds stone, their is potential seen within this tribe.
Asuran: One of the newer tribes; created during the 3rd year of the N.E. This tribes represented color is a medium-blue. Residing far north, they have constructed their home cliffside. Although they have not carved their story into the worlds stone, their is potential seen within this tribe.
History
[edit]A Brief Summary: Although the history of these lands are still new; much has happened. There was just over 4 years before the new era (B.N.E), that witness the birth of 6 tribes, and the loss of two. Although armies had not marched it was clear that destruction was imminent if many peoples had not fled. Slightly after a large discovery within the understanding of cartography; all people learned how to map the lands around them correctly, and soon after discarded their old system and discovered all things once more.
The Birth of Civilizations | Year 1, M1 B.N.E: Three different tribes had travelled to these unknown lands; The Tribe of Eldoriah, The Tribe of Yimir & The Body of Ichor. Shortly after the migration of these peoples they had begun communicate and record pieces of history and information, allowing a 'official time' to begin!
The Early Iron Crisis | Year 1, M6 B.N.E: Iron prices had doubled in the earlier years due to the mass population growth in each tribe and the demand for iron tools/armor to expand and protect new territories. Despite this leading to hardships, this crisis was ultimately curved and prices had adjusted within just a few months.
The B.N.E Gold Demand | Year 1, M8 B.N.E: After tribes had managed to protect their new expansions, there was a sudden local demand for more gold to increase trade. Despite this going unresolved, the tribes took it upon themselves to begin venturing into dangerous territories to extract this ore themselves, leading to a sudden gold rush. Despite the demand going unsettled for months, the people eventually saw prices adjust.
The Birth of Cherenos: | Year 1, M10 B.N.E: Shortly after the Body of Ichor had chosen a leader and banished the people of Cherenos, they had begun to rebuild residing by new allies and ultimately became stronger than prior. With help from Eldoriah, Cherenos had became a officially recognized tribe on the 10 month of the first year. This is where their peoples story begins.
The March of Yimir | Year 1, M11 B.N.E: In the early years of Elak the people of Yimir rallied their army and met with allies to face their enemy [Body of Ichor] over a land dispute that disallowed the expansion of their people. After The Body of Ichor heard of the vast armies that were marching towards their land, they had chosen to avoid conflict and peacefully negotiate- offering the region of Ashenmoor as compensation. Although this would preserve their nation for longer, this is the beginning of the end of their people.
The Cherenos Conflict | Year 2, M5 B.N.E: With minimal land left for expansion; and the memory of banishment fresh within their leaders mind- the tribe of Cherenos has officially declared war onto The Body of Ichor [Y2, M5 B.N.E]. After war was declared- The Body of ichor surrendered and ceded all territories, resulting in the final conflict that includes The Body of Ichor; for they fled from the lands of Elak. Not much is known where they remain today, or if they will ever return for their claims.
The Beginning of the New Era [N.E]: The people of Elak had rediscovered their lands, producing new maps; with greater precision. This resulted in a new era. Upon traversing the unknown, cartographers noticed previous tribes abandoned; and new ones arisen. Writing
The Farmers Crisis | Year 1 N.E: In year one; Farmers around the land have fallen short on their grain stocks due to the mass increase in population. The local prices for wheat & wheat seeds were thought to have doubled quickly. This lasted for just over one year into the N.E.
The Search For Knowledge | Year 1 N.E: Early into the N.E, the libraries of Elak began searching for any stories they can find that discuss events in our worlds history/lore, and they will pay well for it. They speak of lore, inventory books, journals- any figment of history. Though not much more is known about this time of history, it is known that at the time of this writing- the people of these lands were undergoing a harsh and unforeseen fish shortage.
