User:Wmahan/Links to redirects from misspellings
Wikipedia:Database reports/Linked misspellings now exists for this purpose. |
Here's a list of articles that link to pages in Category: Redirects from misspellings.
You can also go to the correctly spelled article pages, and look for other misspelling redirects (using what links here), and fix those, first by adding "{{R from misspelling}}" on the same line as the redirect statement, then by fixing all links to that redirect.
If the link is actually a misspelling, you should fix the text of the link as well, rather than only the link itself.
Some redirects in this list may belong better in other categories, such as:
- Category:Redirects from alternate spellings
- Category:Redirects from ASCII-only titles
- Category:Redirects from titles without diacritics
For some misspellings, the target of the redirect is not the best correction of the misspelling. For example, Castillian language (with two ls) redirects to Spanish language, but the misspelled link should usually be corrected to Castilian language (with one l). In these cases, you can edit the redirect page to pass a parameter to the R from misspelling template: "{{R from misspelling|Castilian language}}. This informs my script of the most likely replacement for the misspelling.
Please strike out or remove any articles that have been fixed. Thanks to everyone who has contributed.

- Whatlinkshere for Template:R from misspelling provides similar functionality, although the list here may be to easier to use because non-main namespaces are separated, correct spellings are given, etc.
