I am Onyema Jovita Chinenye, a graduate of Linguistics/ Igbo studies. I am a translator, an editor and a presenter with Metro Fm . My undergraduate project work in the University of Benin centred on the semantic analysis of the " Igbo verb for buying". This piece categorically analysed the various verbs in the Igbo language which means "to buy" as well as finding out the semantic definition of the item to be bought, the manner in which it is bought and of course, semantically analysing it's befitting verb.

I have tangible experiences as a radio presenter, where I have anchored programmes, translated English scripts to Igbo, read Igbo and English written news scripts and done field research and event media coverages. I am currently a contract presenter with one of the radio stations in Lagos. My years of experience in the media has continuously revolved around language of which Igbo is a flag bearer. I am proud of my roots and this root I shall continuously uphold.
